On this episode of Show Up on Purpose, I’m sharing a conversation I had with my former client Megan. Megan is a dedicated wife and mother of two amazing kids, plus one adorable pup. A nurse practitioner by trade, she is most recently the Executive Director of ART Vision and ARTisan Skin and Laser Center in Sioux Falls, SD. With a passion for helping others and a commitment to constantly improving both personally and professionally, Megan strives to lead by example and empower others to do the same. Ever the helper, Megan is a classic enneagram 2 who finds joy in supporting and caring for others and has recently discovered the importance of doing the same for herself. She is learning how to embrace her gifts of empathy and intuition and is continuously striving for peace, joy, and balance in her own life. Megan loves being a dance, hockey, and baseball mom, warm patio hangs with friends, sushi, live music, reading, and attempting to golf.
Megan was actually one of my very first coaching clients and she came to me wanting to find balance, purpose, and joy in everyday life. When Megan started, she was feeling paralyzed about doing all the right things; physically, mentally, and emotionally and ready to go after that something more that was stirring inside of her. I’m excited for you to hear Megan’s story and so grateful she was willing to share it on the podcast.
Here's what we talked about:
What she was nervous about when she started her coaching journey.
How her worth isn't tied to what she does for others.
How she learned the validation she needs + wants comes from within.
It's not about a finish line, it's all about the journey.
What was most supportive when working together.
And more!

This episode of Show Up On Purpose is a little bit different than other episodes I’ve shared before. You’ll get to hear firsthand from a former client of mine, Cassie, who completed my 3-month, 1:1 coaching program Purposefully You. Cassie's journey is so inspiring and I'm so incredibly grateful she was open to sharing her story.
Get to know Cassie: " "I’m not going to like it, but I’ll do it”. The power that this quote has had over my life is impossible to communicate. I am a 35 y/o wife, mom, business professional who loves to laugh, see others succeed and try delicious foods. I come from a family of God first which has set the foundation for my strength. Behind that though is a life of pain, abuse and addiction that has broke me in more ways I can’t repair.
Last year, I made the “selfish” decision to take a positive, unfamiliar leap into asking for help in healing myself. Kim has allowed me to fall apart while providing me the tools to build myself back up. Taking me from shame and desperation to waking up wanting to see today, looking in the mirror and smiling, dancing with my kids and singing like a mad woman in the car. Life is not always kind, being able to find trust and strength within myself through working with Kim is the reason I my authentic self today.
Here's what we talked about:
Why investing in herself physically, didn't have the impact she thought it would but when she invested in her mental + emotional self she finally felt grounded.
How she re-wired her inner dialogue so she could start feeling confident in all areas of her life; especially with communication.
How she finally felt like she could advocate for herself without feeling like she was bothering anyone.
Realizing that "just getting by" was ultimately pulling her away from who I am.

I couldn’t have a podcast on purpose without including a giant piece of my life that makes me feel purposeful, day in and day out. In this episode, you’ll hear a conversation between my husband (Mark) and me. Mark doesn't love being in the spotlight, but he definitely loves supporting me, and I'm so grateful he said yes to being on the pod. To be honest, at first, the conversation all seemed a bit random, but as I listened back, I realized that it was a conversation all about things that bring purpose to both us and our relationship. From how we met, to what we like to eat, to travel, listen in to hear all about it.
Here’s what we talked about in this episode:
How we first met.
Navigating in-laws + family during the holidays.
How to handle conflict during travel.
Places we’d visit again + places we wouldn’t go back to anytime soon.
The craziest thing that’s happened while traveling.
Kim’s AirBnB goals.
How we support each other's wellness goals.

Jeanine loves a lot of things: her husband, 5 sons, dogs, leadership, and traveling. But on top of that, she loves meeting new people and their pets, creating relationships, and helping others through Paws Pet Resort.
Since being struck with a God-given inspiration, she knew that running a business for charity was her calling.
“I had a full-fledged crying breakdown while watching a video at a conference. The video was about creating a business to generate a steady income stream that could be given to charity. I immediately knew this was a business model I wanted to emulate.”
A few years—and lots of planning—later, Paws Pet Resort is her dream come true for that cause!
When it came to choosing a person to talk to about creating a life filled with purpose, I didn't have to think hard at all about who to ask. Jeanine is a wonderful human, a truly inspirational leader and business owner, and someone who has created a life filled with purpose. We've had the joy of sending our dogs to Paws Pet Resort for over three years now, and there isn't a time I walk in (or out) of there not feeling grateful for everything that Jeanine and her fabulous team have created.
You're going to get so much goodness from this conversation!
Here's what we talked about:
Her beliefs on how businesses can be founded on purpose.
What purpose means to Jeanine.
How she found her purpose, how things shifted over time, and how Paws Pet Resort came to fruition.
How pausing, standing still, and thinking about what you truly want can lead you to the answers you’re seeking.
Why combining her career and purpose is important to her.
How you can get unstuck when you’re feeling purposeless.
How she adds purpose to her life.
