
This meditation is a powerful technique for reducing the suffering associated with pain. Sometimes we cannot do anything about pain, it is resistant to medication and no matter what we try it remains stubborn and persistant.
However what we do have the option of doing is altering the way we perceive and react to pain, lessening the neural sensitivity and ridding ourselves of the built up stress and tension that pain inevitably causes.
Sometimes (not always) the body creates and maintains this stubborn pain when we have deep psychological pain that we are not addressing, it is only when we can return to a state of calm and stillness that the root causes of the pain will begin to emerge.
I wish you so well with this, I have suffered chronic pain myself and I know how hellish it can be. Please do not give up hope, everything is temporary, this too shall pass :)

During my own awakening and recovery vast slabs of pain and depression effortlessly melted away in the pure light of the present moment. A profound relief as I realised I could safely cease telling myself a story about the past or the future and instead enjoy the energy of the eternal Now.
This can be a challenge as for many years and even decades we cement and reaffirm in our minds that our 'life' is the content of our mind instead of the content of our experience. However you will find that regardless of the content of the past it can be instantly erased in a single moment by just choosing not to engage with it. The future can also hold no dread or fear when it is clearly seen to be an illusion.
If you could awaken to the natural joy that is ever present within you you would no longer make bad choices in order to settle your sense of unease and tension, but instead be able to enjoy a life of simple happiness and serenity.

This is my most powerful and profound meditation, I developed it as a remedy for the unbearable stress and tension we face in the modern world.
I follow the direct path of advaita (non-duality) and have experienced such incredible bliss from the works of Mooji and Rupert Spira. During my meditations I began to develop this visualisation that truly connected me with the ground of universal being. I feel compelled to share this visualisation as it has proved so useful for me, I hope it can help you too.
