Joe played professional football through his youth and was quite good at it, until his passion for training in the gym started to hinder his performance. He left, was lucky enough to get a scholarship to study and his passion for training in the gym took him to win some bodybuilding competitions.
Taking personal training clients through the same process he was on, eventually let to coaching some of his clients into becoming trainers themselves and started his journey to being "The Coaches Coach".
Joe shares some of the challenges and he experienced and lessons learned on the way, in our chat.

Jake is a competitive Crossfit athlete/gym owner from Singleton NSW, about an hour west of Newcastle. He has competed at the regional level in Crossfit including The Down Under Crossfit Championship and The Torian Pro a number of times. He has also represented Australia at the International Functional Fitness Federations National Championships, which TBH I dont know too much about. Apparently they are trying to get Functional Fitness into the Olympics, and to do that theres all these requirements you need to meet in order to be a proper sport allowed in to the olympics. We dive into a typical day of training and recovery, Jake used to work shift work in the mines so we go through how he adapted his training and nutrition to suit that, tips for working on weaknesses and of course a book recommendation.
