This week on the Summer Mumma Podcast I dive into the truth on water safety for under 5's in rural communities and why they are most at risk? Australia is a country that poses different types of risk for children under 5 not only geographically but culturally, and the climates are diverse. Urban and rural locations are very different, especially for the water safety risks. While I have been preparing the Water Babies Membership behind the scenes I gathered valuable research from industry leaders and what I found was astonishing. I hope that this brings some awareness to families with children under 5 and how they approach their child's water safety.New Parents especially may not see water safety as part of their lives. Especially if they as a child or adult didn't live with water. In a study, Royal Life Saving Australia found that indigenous, migrants and refugees were most at risk as they might be unaware of their surroundings, particularly at home and in the wider community, especially for their children. If you'd like to hear more on why rural kids are most at risk in the climate of Australia, tune in as I offer not only the findings but some easy ways to access some great resources and be more aware of water safety for your family.Resources for your family: https://kidsalive.com.au/Thank you! I hope this helps you and your kids by bringing more awareness to the dangers of water when we don't understand the real importance of just how important water safety is. As the saying goes we must learn to crawl before we can walk and the same can be said for swimming. Love what you hear?
