i have been on a journey of self-discovery since the beginning of this year. This culminated with the Glow Up blog post in January which set the tone for the rest of the year.
Now that we are coming to the end of the year I thought it apt to do a bit of a check-in to see where we were in actualizing our full potential and achieving consciousness of self.
Additionally, October has been a month of tremendous loss for my family and one of the ways I am managing to cope is by sharing about my grief.
Thank you for listening and please comment and let me know your thoughts,

DISCLAIMER: Apologies for the sniffles, I am still sick (I tried to stop but I think it's unconscious at this point :( )
This was a "spirited" and somewhat informal discussion with a very special guest, who I thought would've given a different perspective on higher education.
The episode is a bit lengthy because we really had a fulsome discussion on generational trauma, oppression and the role education plays in reinforcing these ideals.
Take a listen and please let us know whether higher education is a scam or necessity.

Apologies for the delay. I'm battling illness and thought I would've been better by now.
This episode is about my own "battles" with passion vs profit and whether the idea that I have to work my fingers to the bone is the only one that will allow me to earn.
Navigating the world of work is never easy.

This episode explores how we adapt or really fail to adapt to change in our everyday lives. The processes (biological and psychological) that we go through to be able to accept and embrace change; and the fear that gets in the way.
Let's let go of FEAR (false evidence appearing real) and embrace CHANGE (creating hope and nurturing genuine empowerment).

As I approach 30 I become more anxious about the fact that I have not accomplished many of the things I wanted before that turn of the decade. This podcast entry and accompanying blog post (iamnicolette.blogspot.com/2018/05/am-i-running-out-of-time-confessions-of.html) go into some detail about why this should not be a concern for all those approaching their third decade on this earth.
The podcast entry contains the usual segments:
-What I'm Reading (Check out my GoodReads for more info: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/74598218-nicolette)
- Dreamline Update
- Song of the Month (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORemUrv6jJ4)
- Quote of the Month
...but I added something special this month, so take a listen!

This episode is about self-care; an interim thoughtscape on " A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James; and more !
P.S.: don't be alarmed by the sound effects lol. I'm trying to subtly add transitions. I also used editing software for the podcast for the first time, however the laptop microphone may not be ideal.
Also, please take the personality tests and tell me what you got !
