Love the pod but uh…
Is Brent ok? Can one of yall get him a lozenge? He’s clearing his throat every 10 seconds and I feel like he needs a Mucinex or something. Hope you’re OK Brent ❤️

Essential listening for people with a sense of humor
Started listening to this podcast after a random automated suggestion back in 2019. To be perfectly honest, I remember being kind of annoyed by some of the strong opinions my first listen…a pandemic, change in presidency, and what feels like a life time in 5 years later, I consider these three guys to be some of the smartest, wittiest, funniest and most thoughtful entertainers out there. They each have a very specific and distinct personality which they use to discuss current events and create hilarious and original dialogues in the process.

Whiny.
Three 30-something Los Angeles gay guys who have lost touch with the rest of the country and just spend the hour whining. 🙄 Hope you like Up-Speak & Vocal Friiiiiieeeee……🙄.

This going to sound awful
But besides the fact that Eliot, Brent and H. have a hilarious and thoughtful podcast, they do so without vocal fry and without saying everything like it sounds like a question? Thank y’all for being who you are and easy on the ears.

Hilarious!
These guys crack me up every week. I love the mix of funny and serious— and always an interesting guest, also sometime funny and sometimes serious!

Love them!
Love the banter and silly questions! Been listening for years and highly recommend!

Meh!
I've followed Brent and Eliot over here from "It Gets Betterish"! I love the format of the pod, glad to know H. Allen now, and really really wish "It Gets Betterish" was a Hulu shown or something!

Like a warm cookie out of the oven
I love this podcast and have since day on. Nothing makes me laugh while comforting me just as much. (And I’m straight.) Thank you, you three!

Great!
I really like the political and social commentary, as well as the personal talk. But sometimes there is too much discussion about social media, influencers, etc.. I gravitated toward this podcast because I thought it was going to be less about that. For the bulk of most episodes, I do not follow what is being discussed, but I stick around for the other stuff - which is much, much more interesting.

Toxic Listener
These guys are unhinged
The latest episode with Barbara Dixon is so funny. I listen most weeks to the guys. They’re always funny. I think the topics they cover are smart and fresh. Most of they time they have interesting and engaging guests. All this to say the new benchmark has been set with their Barbara Dixon episode. I’ve never heard of her before, but now that I have, I know I’m going to be a huge fan. The banter was hysterical. My favorite segment every week is “What would your aunt say?” Where they humorously imitate what their aunts response to parts of the show (usually a response to a particularly gay or unhinged segment). Their impressions of their aunts are hysterical and it’s a great way to wrap up each episode.

One of my favorites!
I really appreciate the POVs and humor of the hosts. The conversations are always fluid, knowledgeable, and hysterical! Love this pod ❤️ also, they get the best guests! My friends and I adore YMIW!

My fav podcast
Honest, thoughtful, well rounded conversations make this podcast something special. Interesting insights and discussions about current events, queer culture, and the minutiae of life (malls, cereal, etc). Such a great mix of opinions, I appreciate the depth of the discussions and how seriously they take each other and speak with respect even when they disagree (Rare to find nowadays, especially). And they make me laugh out loud every time too. This is everything I look for in a podcast!

The only “ensemble” podcast I never get tired of. Seriously can’t get enough.

LOVE it!
Their humor, their wit, their unapologetic approach to absolutely everything make this podcast absolutely perfect!

White Gays: The Podcast
Their podcast feels somewhat tone deaf at times, lacking in perspective and diversity. Amid the moment we’re in, they gave a quick, superficial statement about Black Lives Matter and then moved on to an episode all about them. What a wildly self1centered way to redirect the moment to them.

Highlight of my week
I love how mean everyone is to Eliot. Congrats on 100 episodes! Looking forward to 100 more.

Good guests, better to skip the banter
Good guests, but they’re perspective on topics can sometimes skew really “privileged white gay twitter.” They could benefit from more diverse voices. Also the constant criticism of toxic gay culture sometimes feels really hypocritical.

Love A New Perspective
As a cis straight woman, I know I have plenty to learn the queer experience. This is one of the many avenues I get to explore that through with the perfect mix of insight and humor. I came in knowing Elliot and am now obsessed with all three hosts! Thanks y’all!

Highlight of my week
I always look forward to a new episode. I’ve listened to each one multiple times to where I talk along with you guys. I love you and you’re my favorite. You gentlemen put a smile on my face. 😁

Fun & Topical
Great banter and interviews- funny and really interesting. As my aunt would say, I look forward to every episode!❤️

How is this just coming up as a suggestion on iTunes? Tim Cook needs to work on this BS algorithm! It’s late and I have only been able to listen to 4 episodes but I am already addicted. These three hosts provide us with interesting topics worthy of intellectual discussion. There is also hilarious banter among these three friends and guests. I love that they have different thoughts and beliefs which is what makes this podcast so fun. Grape nuts? Vaginas? Swimming in diaper laden cesspools, aka the ocean? Rubbing one out in front of a female friend? I can’t wait to hear more...

Consistently hysterical and interesting. I could listen to Brent Sullivan talk all day.

Best podcast
I can’t get enough of this podcast. It’s funny, topical and interesting every single week.

Love these guys
I can always count on these three to make me laugh. Brent teasing the blushing Elliot is one of my favorite things in life. And I love the sex-positivity that H. Alan brings to the table. I’ve discovered so many awesome comics through their guest interviews. And I can never figure out how the hosts come up with their episode-specific aunt impressions seemingly on the fly — this is professional aunt-driven improvisation if I’ve ever heard it!

This podcast is wonderful 🙌
I love to this podcast sooo much! It’s super funny and entertaining. Wish you guys had a Patreon or something so I could listen to more episodes! Brent is hilarious and I laugh so hard at all the great stories he tells. H.Alan always comes through with important contrarian viewpoints to every topic and plays devils advocate so well, he also tells some wild stories which I live for. Elliot is an amazing moderating force in the trio and is such a good interviewer, and he’s always so sweet and so funny. I love the dynamic these three have together. It’s definitely a podcast I look forward to every single week! 🙏

Make it longer
I love the podcast but wish the interviews would be a little longer. You were talking to Dave Holmes and he seemed taken aback that his time was up. I wish all your interviews were at least 20 minutes longer. :(

It’s ok
I like most of this podcast but they’ve a bit obsessed with Instagays and critiquing them. Who cares? If it bugs you so much, just don’t follow them. Possibly the only thing more boring than Instagays are the endless discussions the hosts have about them.

I am waiting for the app to add comments to each episode so that we can talk and exchange ideas. Their voices help me go to sleep.

Let the guests talk
Seriously just let the guests talk or don’t have a guest. Y’all book these wonderful guests then don’t let them say more than maybe five words.

Misinformed hosts.
I started listening to this podcast because I love Eliot Glazer and want to support all he does. And the podcast, overall, can be good. Moreover, they tackle serious legal and political issues, providing a fresh perspective at which I believe is influenced by their identities. However, when addressing these very serious issues, I think it’s important to provide factual information and there are times when they present things as factual despite being seriously wrong. Yet, with this misinformation, they provide articulated opinions that may influence listeners own beliefs. For example, most notably, the hosts discussed the serious issue of Amazon removing several gay conversion therapy books for sale from its website. One of the hosts argued that amazon was wrong to do this, and then cited that, if we can force a cake-shop owner to bake a cake for a gay couple, then individuals should have access to both sides or else the government is hypocritical. However, this is factually incorrect, Masterpiece Cakeshop (the Supreme Court Case I assume they’re citing to) indeed held the government may not force a cake-shop owner to bake or design a cake for a gay couple, citing his free speech rights. Regardless of whether the host’s opinion changes or not, I think it’s important that individuals with a public audience provide factual information when informing that audience of their opinions. I’ll stop listening to this podcast because of this issue, but nevertheless believe this podcast can/does provide a unique and new perspective.

These fellows are so pleasant to hear discussing the topics that are on my mind and in the news. Together, they are magic. I take off my hat to them for being funny, genuine and entertaining. Keep it up, fellows. You are doing a great job.

Meh
It’s alright. I’m gay, was hoping I could relate, but these guys are often out in space.

Is this obvious?
Podcasting creates a space or maybe an object that fills a void of loneliness. Listening to my pretend friends who share some of my same views and educate me about other views? Fantastic. For the first time I ever I understand why TV (sitcoms) took off. I can relate. I feel like I am surrounded by my friends when I listen; a fictitious meta life...and I love it. I feel it. I am grateful for it. It fills avoid I didn’t know existed. I love being alone. And now I love being alone with these 3 men. Really cool, insightful but not forceful, and makes me think how crazy that gay can be niche but we can be mainstream...in a cheesy af way I am proud our voices matter. E.G. your reach is far brother.

Finally. Seriously - finally.
Finally a podcast created by my gay peers that I can relate to. These intelligent gentlemen do not put on any airs, are their true selves and will often share some shockingly intimate details and insecurities about their lives. All relatable to the gay life slash life that I lead. Thank you for making me feel less of a minority in the gay minority.

Great podcast! But...
This is a great premise for a podcast! After a few episodes, I found myself feeling relieved that I was finally hearing someone else voice my comments and concerns with the community. Particularly the issues, non issues, and our own place in it. It’s very insightful and introspective without being patronizing and judgmental. However, there are times when I have to force myself through the episodes. Mostly it comes to my own peeves with podcasters who consistently talk over each other or cut each other off. Please, when you have a guest and ask them a question, LET THEM ANSWER. A few times they would be asked a long round about question (because nobody wants to offend anyone) only to barrel over them when it comes time to answer. Too many voices at one time detract from the experience. Then it’s less a conversational an entertaining podcast and more of a hidden microphone feel while a group of friends are hanging out. It leaves the listener out of the joke. That being said, I do love the format, and the topics. Conversations that need to be had, but don’t be afraid to connect head on with the topics. If people are offended then they don’t really understand what you’re trying to achieve. Thank you guys!

Amazing podcast!
I’ve listened to this podcast from the beginning and I am always laughing out loud in public places but I don’t mind the annoyed looks, because this podcast is so funny! It is also serious when it comes to important issues and Eliot, Brent, and Alan give fascinating takes on what’s on their mind. I wonder what would their aunts say?
Dulce816
Excited every week!
I’ve been listening for a couple of months now and I get super excited when there’s a new episode and the insights are always interesting. My only critique would be that I wish the interviews were shorter and the discussions were longer. Their chats are always so good but they feel a little short.

Had to Google What Poppers Are
As a straight white woman, some things don’t automatically connect with me, but the commentary about current pop culture and the laughs among friends are well worth a few random searches now and then. My Aunt would say, “Listen to this nice podcast, I can’t get the Bluetooth to work in my car so I just turn the volume up on my cell phone real loud.”
ESinDC'93
Eh
The show is touch and go. On occasion they have great insight and the show flows beautifully. However, their criticisms about how homogenized the gay community is rings hollow, because they seem to be a part of the white, vain, gay community they criticize.

SO FUNNY!!!
Omg you guys for realz I hate listening to people talk almost all the time, but this show is the BEES KNEEZ! So if you wanna laugh and learn some new adjectives I highly recommend. Especially on the toilet; it moves things along.

Very relatable topics to gay men
Im not a huge on interview segments, personally, but the topics discussed are very relatable to the common gay male.
