Welcome back to TURTZED:

Have you ever had an almost deja vu moment when a situation feels so familiar but the players are different? Or a gut feeling you ignore because it feels almost safe and comfortable because you have experienced it before, even though it's far from safe?

We'll discuss how I identified patterns that were recurring, how they prevented me from showing up as the real me and why changing my name was a piece of starting to live life more authentically.

Epsiode Takeaways:

  1. Consider whether you have allowed yourself to be pushed into a mold by ignoring who you really are and what you really want.

  2. If we look at life as a pendulum and focus on the side it swings to when we are in pain, we can sometimes miss it swinging in the other direction.

  3. While being honest and vulnerable is very hard, it also allows you to be your authentic self.  Choose to be surrounded by people who value your authenticity, rather than trying to change yourself to fit in or to be what others want you to be, because that never feels comfortable.

  4. It may feel safer to try to be what you think people want you to be, but in the end, you will be dismissing your true interests and preferences for people who do not genuinely care about you.

  5. Showing up as who you are is so much more powerful and, frankly, a way more enjoyable way to live life.
