Dear Diary,
Welcome to "The Indigo Diaries." Join host Natasha Hickling as she interviews another guest, a fellow Brit Bebe Barry, in the new diary entry of the series.
Bebe grew up in the heart of London, above a pub in the centre of Borough Market. Initially a shy kid but never without an instrument, pub life soon had her bursting out of her shell, even playing her mini glockenspiel in front of the locals some days after school. Bebe has written music since being a teenager but was always hesitant to put her experiences into words. However, after being diagnosed with PTSD and ADHD as an adult, she found that she suddenly had a lot to say and songwriting was the way she could say it. Bebe has always been a pop kid with a love for rock and roll; David Bowie being her strongest influence since she was ten. Despite hitting low moments over the years, she has remained an optimist, turning her darkest moments into soaring anthems that make you want to dance.
In this episode, she talks about her story, her diagnosis and how her openness gave her the life she wanted whilst living with ADHD & PTSD . We hope you enjoy another inspiring story and hope you find a relation in it in some way.
Have a great week ahead!
Until next time...
