Welcome to "The Indigo Diaries." Join host Natasha Hickling as she interviews another guest, The Abstract Genius Simran Deol, in the new diary entry of the series.
Simran Deol is a university student working to empower the Neurodiverse people of the world. Being undiagnosed with ADHD and Specific Learning Disorder until almost 20 years old, Simran had to fight for her education at every opportunity.
Now she has launched her own Organization “The Abstract Genius” which raises awareness and helps empower Neurodiverse people, by creating a community as well as offer many programs to help people unlock their potential. Simran’s vision for “The Abstract Genius” is to give the people a voice to celebrate their achievements and help them through their adversity. She believes that there needs to be more inclusive education at schools and that educators need to acknowledge the different types of intelligence in the world.
She has been on a journey to make a difference in the lives of her fellow Neurodiverse people, she is writing books, starting movements, speaking, and educating people on what it means to be different. Simran was accepted to participate in the Harvard Women in Educational Leadership program, where she shared her story and got to learn how to fight for justice in the education system. She is a global speaker, advocate, and leader. In this episode, she will talk to us about her story, late diagnosis and how she beat the odds
