Here on The Aging Mask Podcast I will teach you in an online classroom format, and will share with you how to implement the many simple tools and practices of Ayurveda into your daily routine which are guaranteed to create health, wellness and happiness for you daily.
Ayurveda has been one of the biggest gifts I have received and I want to give this gift to you.
In todays episode I explain the differences between the words Envy and Jealousy.
Envy is "Material", envy occurs between two people; "I want what you have"!
Jealousy is "Relationship formed"- jealousy tends to have a very negative connotation, and jealousy involves a third party, most often seen as a rival for affection or attention.
Envy is one of the 7 Deadly Sins: Pride, Greed, Lust, Gluttony, Wrath, Sloth & ENVY.
Envy is a deadly sin because it kills gratitude, it kills contentment, and it kills happiness.
It is an emotion that occurs within each of us when we lack another's qualities, skills, achievements, or possessions, and either desire it, or wishes the other lacked them.
It is a pain we feel at the sight of another's good fortune.
Envy minimizes YOUR blessings and YOUR gifts and is the art of counting the other fellows blessings instead of your own.
Jealousy stems from your greatest insecurities, jealousy is a negative volatile emotion that feeds off our insecurities and self confidence.
Jealousy is a very complex emotion that encompasses feelings ranging from suspicion, to rage, fear humiliation and it strikes people of all ages, genders & sexual orientations, and is most typically aroused when a person perceives a threat to a valued relationship from a third party, which may be real or imagined.
' No one is Immune'.
