Krystyl and Hannah are two best friends and small business owners, who recently started a new community group, Noco Girls Collective. The collective is centered around making new friends and having fun in the Northern Colorado area. They understand that finding strong female friendships during the in-between phases of life can be a challenge, which is why they wanted to create a space that makes that a little easier!

Today's guest is Ashley Searing. She teaches kindergarten and owns RejuveNate - Plants & Wellness. RejuveNATE debuted in July 2020 after she lost her brother Nate to mental illness in February 2020. After Nate passed, she wanted to do something to reach people who may also struggle with similar things in their life so she created RejuveNate. They therapeutically hand-paint all the pottery that comes out of the shop and pair them with plants to bring awareness to mental health & to instill positive outlets into people's lives to combat symptoms.
Ashley shares her story and some tangible advice for simple self-care and mental health aids. We get a little spiritual and discuss the signs we get from the "other side", and overall just keep it real and raw about mental health.

Sydney Mongaraz is a local entrepreneur born and raised in Kankakee County. She is a specialized luxury boudoir photographer with a studio in downtown Kankakee. Below her studio, she co-owns Roze Lingerie Boutique with her fiancé Aaron. She is a life-long creative who started her photography business at the age of 17 after taking a photography class in high school. She continued her studies in photography at Columbia College in Chicago for a few years but later dropped out to pursue self-education and build her career.
Sydney has photographed over 200 women in her studio giving them an empowering experience to boost their confidence. She loves being everyone's hype woman and new best friend. She knows how hard it is to build confidence, love your body and feel comfortable owning your sexiness. Through her photography and boutique, she helps women rock their confidence and empower them to end their self-hatred.
When Sydney is not working, she enjoys shopping boutiques, Starbucks runs (daily to where even the workers know her name), building Pinterest boards for her farm fixer-upper, spending time with family & friends, and a good cuddle on the couch with some Netflix.

The Grounded Babes join Kristyn to discuss all things plants: good starter plants, best watering practices, how plants are a great metaphor for life, and more! We discuss it from both ends, science and spiritual. This is a power-packed episode if you desire to become a plant parent!
Claire Natalia is the founder of Grounded Babes! Plants are a huge part of her but she really gravitates toward anything nature related! Born and raised in the desert but meant to be with the ocean… she was definitely a mermaid in a past life!
Renée Lupia is a water-bearer, lesbian plant witch. Lover of astrology and student of life. She knows just enough about most topics to have an opinion one way or another but seldom calls herself an expert.

The Shut the Gut Up podcast is back for a limited time, limited series release.
For the next 10 weeks, I will be dropping new episodes every Thursday.
And the theme? Healing girl era.
We are all healing in some form.
I think the healing girl era gets this persona that you’ve recently been broken up with or left a relationship and you’re on a journey back to yourself.
But truthfully, we can “lose ourselves” in this journey of life simply because there are a lot of freaking opinions, contradicting research, changing circumstances, what have you out there and it’s sometimes hard to remember who we are underneath that all. To stick with our personal values and philosophy when the world is set up to make us question ourselves.
So this limited series healing girl era will dive deep into topics like confidence and boundaries, where often the deeper self-work comes into play. But also the metaphorical healing shit, like a bomb-ass episode on keeping plants alive and working with nature, which can so deeply resemble human life.
Thanks for coming along on this journey.
