"One day I decided that I am worthy." -Kyle

Kyle shares a vulnerable story of growing up with a family as he calls it "plagued by addiction.". Kyle discusses what it was like from an enabled addicts point of view with a family bond that was build on respect and loyalty but from the outside view may seem taboo love. Kyle talks about maintaining relationships within his family even with family dynamics that now go against his new lifestyle and how the relationships around him began to change.

Kyle and I discuss breaking the stigma of being defined by your family or your family's history. We agree that it is possible to break the cycles of trauma and it starts with a life in recovery.
