Deep breathing is said to be one of the most effective ways to release tension. Breathing is also the most important thing you can do for your physical health because it’s closely tied to how well your heart and lungs work. When we are stressed, it can lead to shallow breathing, which means that we take in less oxygen and our body doesn’t function as well. Diaphragmatic breathing on the other hand, is an amazing way to calm down and release tension from your muscles. Pranayama techniques as per the Patanjali’s Yoga sutras help us to do specific excercises and breathing techniques which induce us to breath deeper ( diaphragmatic breathing thereby opening up the lobes of the lungs fully by making the muscles elastic, resilient and strong. By these deep breathing techniques maximum prana vayu can be taken into the lungs and it has immense benefits to the entire human system - body, mind, intellect and emotions. In today's world, specially during this pandemic and the challenges it has created, people often end up getting stressed or anxious. These emotions can make it difficult for people to focus on their work, their relationships, or anything really. What if there was a way for all of us to find peace and calm in our everyday lives? There is! It's called mindful diaphragmatic breathing. The idea behind mindful diaphragmatic breathing is simple: as we breathe deep and long through, we become aware of all the sensations associated with this act. Our minds shift from focusing on the past or future to focusing only the present moment. Stress can be a major health hazard. It can cause serious health problems like heart disease, diabetes, and depression. However, there are many ways to reduce stress levels without medication or therapy. One of the most effective solution is mindful diaphragmatic breathing. Diaphragmatic breathing may help you feel more relaxed and less anxious.
