Let's talk about our experience at our Parish! We promise we know our Parishes are not perfect, and the Holy Spirit is always looking to bring about better community. But we want to share the positive things, the things that have changed our lives for the better, to communicate just how important Parish life is, especially for women in their 20s, but really for any human at any age. We share the ways our lives have been changed by being part of a community like this. We are called to live a communal life, including worship, prayer, and simply living life together, in radical service of one another, and the natural place for that to happen is in the Parish. Let's talk about how that has happened for us!

Let's talk about Parish Life, especially in your 20s. Let's talk about what Parishes should be, and what they could be if we all invested well. Let's talk about Canon Law and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (because Bri is a little bit of a nerd). We are going to talk a bit about what the Parish is, what it is supposed to be, and where our responsibility for this comes in.

Let's talk about community life and its impact on our spiritual journey. This week, we reflect on Acts 2 and the two parts of community life that are essential: prayer and food -- because no good party is complete without either. We talk about the power of communal prayer and shared meals in building strong relationships that get us to Heaven. The way we engage in community matters and how we let it impact us will alter our relationship with God. If we enter into good community on earth, we are able to get a taste of what Heaven could look like with the Body of Christ.

Let's talk about life transitions and how they remind us of God's plan for our lives. Whether its transitioning to married life, leaving your hometown, or from being a child to entering adulthood and all of the things that come with that, life is full of changes that can be both exciting and challenging.
We are meant to embrace all stages of life with trust in God's timing. So let's talk about how you can be happy and sad at the same time. Let's talk about how transitions are good but hard. Let's talk about surrendering to something new.

This week, Lydia vents her hatred of New Years' Resolutions. Just kidding, kind of. We talk about the importance of self-examination, and the ways we can and should make decisions to improve our lives, but maybe how New Years' Resolutions are not the most effective way to do that. You'll also hear a baby update and about Bri's pregnancy anemia. Any suggestions on how to get more iron are welcome! Happy 2025, and remember we're trying to get better everyday, not just on January 1st.

Let's delve into the profound and powerful moment of Mary's "yes" to God. In this episode, we discuss how her unwavering faith and complete surrender to God's will can serve as an example for us as we learn how to imperfectly surrender to the Lord in every little way. Through the lens of Mary's fiat, we reflect on the sacrifices that women make every day.
So let's not talk about dating, and instead talk about the woman whose "yes" was waited for by generations. Mary's life was a total and utter surrender to the Lord because of her obedience, how can we do the same in our lives? Oh, and let's talk about that one question: "Mary Did You Know?" because honestly, there's a lot of confusion about Mary in the world and in this song.

In part 2 of discussing family culture, we dive into the topic of developing rituals, traditions, and routines. We explore how family dynamics and values play a crucial role in shaping our identities as women and as Catholics. Growing up, many of us have been raised with certain traditions and routines by our parents. However, as the time passes we enter different stages of life, who we are and who we want to be may look different than it did before. It's important to establish new routines that align with our values and who we are becoming. So let's talk about establishing traditions and rituals and our own sense of culture.
