This episode is ALL things CrossFit. Today's guests are my friends and CrossFitters Kelly Gehman, Carl & Amanda Teachey, and Sean Greene.
Disclaimer: I am not a CrossFitter. But I was interested in the allure behind it - it seems like most people (those that I know at least) get sucked in and never look back. So, I gathered four of my pharmacist friends who have all been CrossFitting for many years to get the inside scoop. And there is way more to the story than you may have thought!

This week, we bring you a very special episode of the podcast. I was a guest on The Political Pharmacist Podcast with host Eric Geyer to discuss President Trump's new executive orders on drug pricing. If you haven't listened to last week's episode on cashflow in pharmacy, I recommend you do that first as it will give you a good primer on PBMs, which will be impacted by these new laws.
Check out The Political Pharmacist Podcast for more!! Thank you Eric for having me as a guest!
President Trump just unveiled four new executive orders he plans to sign that can effect how Americans afford their prescription medications. These orders mainly affect how middlemen price savings are passed along to patients at the pharmacy counter with a few other more nuanced changes while also calling out the ridiculously high insulin and epinephrine (EpiPen) prices.
On this episode, I sit down with Dr. Benjamin Jolley and Dr. Katie Trotta to discuss the impact each of these may have on patients and pharmacies in the US, as well as if these are legal or are just political maneuvering by a president who is down in the polls.

We have a very pharmacy-focused episode this week and I personally think anyone in pharmacy should give it a listen! Beth Mills is back with me as my guest co-host for the episode, and we sit down with Steven Rhodes, Founder and CEO of Alliance GPO. Steven utilizes his financial background to help independent pharmacies purchase drugs at the cheapest price he can, so they can save patients money and hopefully make a little for themselves. We also discuss pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) so get ready for that wild ride.
