Boundaries are essential elements of defining where one thing — person, country, etc. — ends and another begins. But what are GOOD boundaries, why are they essential to personal responsibility and freedom, and how can we set better boundaries?
Join Lain for a discussion with Sabrina Haverty about the role of boundaries in our relationships — including with ourselves — and how we can be better boundary-setters.

Integrity is a word that is thrown around a lot, but few people truly take the time to figure out what it means in general, and what it means for them in particular. In fact, it can even seem sort of old-fashioned in our modern days where everyone seems to bend with societal pressure, say something with conviction one day and then bow to the PC “cancel culture” mob the next.
In today’s episode, Lain argues that integrity is very rare, yet very needed. We’ll discuss what integrity is, why it’s important, what happens when we’re out of integrity, and how we can live a life of greater integrity.

The Bill of Rights is a cornerstone of American culture and society. It’s incredible to think that other countries don’t enjoy the same rights under the law that we do in the United States.
But we often take these first 10 amendments to the Constitution for granted. In this episode Lain speaks with attorney Tabatha LaVoie who explains what the Bill of Rights is, what it guarantees American citizens, and how recent actions on the part of the government are threatening our rights (and what we can do about it!).

Activism is traditionally to be the realm of the left, with climate activists, BLM activists, and pro-choice activists getting most of the attention and most of the press — and, likely, most of the success. Somehow the left gained the reputation of “progress” and “being on the right side of history,” which left the rest of us painted with the brush of reactionaries.
Part of this is personality-based where conservatives tend to want as little to do with government as possible. But when we cede the public square to the left, we can’t be surprised when our voice isn’t heard. In this episode, Lain talks about why it’s critical for conservatives to be activists, and how everyone can get involved to support the causes we hold dear.

LatinX is a new-fangled way of referring to people of Latin American origin or descent (used as a gender-neutral or nonbinary alternative to Latino or Latina).
What’s behind this push to de-gender traditional languages, and is it a step in the right direction, or is it intentionally eradicating culture, tradition, and heritage? We’ll talk through both sides of this hot topic, as well as look at implications for other areas of language.
