LatinX is a new-fangled way of referring to people of Latin American origin or descent (used as a gender-neutral or nonbinary alternative to Latino or Latina).

What’s behind this push to de-gender traditional languages, and is it a step in the right direction, or is it intentionally eradicating culture, tradition, and heritage? We’ll talk through both sides of this hot topic, as well as look at implications for other areas of language.
