When we have negative thoughts, our natural instinct is to either ignore, avoid or fight them. But this, in turn, gives them more power to control our lives. Confronting your negative thoughts is about allowing yourself to come face to face with them, to really look at them, because most of the time all our thoughts really want from us is acknowledgment.
