Nomadic Juicer, Dom Ceja, on His Journey to Health, Juicing Basics and Benefits
I had the opportunity to speak to the cool juicing whiz, Dom Ceja aka Nomadic Juicer. Like many others, there’s so much about juicing that I don’t understand. I have tried the juice fasts and detox packs from leading brands. I was all in on the celery juice craze and still do it infrequently. But I never truly understood how it works, why it works, and how to incorporate it into my lifestyle for true benefit and in a sustainable fashion. Dom explains and breaks all of this down in our chat and BONUS, we have a juicing recipe and demo at the end. So if it's a bit intimidating to step into the juicing world, I think this interview will be an incredible tool. One of the biggest takeaways for me, actually massive takeaway was learning about meeting my protein needs (as my diet is mostly vegan) through juicing. We also get into herbology and the concept of regenerative detoxification (which is easier to spell than it is to pronounce). Dom’s entire story and journey is unique and inspiring. From athlete to nomad, to turning to a juicing lifestyle, he drops so much wisdom with incredible humility. Dom is currently based in the mountains of Armenia – as you know the country is in the midst of conflict. Dom, we are keeping you in mind, please continue to stay safe and we are praying for a quick and peaceful resolution. Founder of The Human Method™, Nahid de Belgeonne on Somatic Yoga, Wellness Revolutions & More
Nahid de Belgeonne, is a UK-based yoga expert, fitness studio owner and the founder of The Human Method™, which is a specialized form of yoga and movement that draws on somatic yoga, the Feldenkrais Method and more. Nahid has served as the yoga expert for Women’s Health Magazine UK and Aveda UK. Her corporate clients include L’Oreal, Mac, Estee Lauder and La Mer to name a few. I had the incredible opportunity to speak with Nahid this week – in a conversation that is practical and profound. We get to learn about her journey, development of The Human Method™, and exactly what makes it so transformative. But our conversation goes even deeper, as we explore the very notion of what it means to become human again, the signs of a “true” wellness revolution, and how self-care enables the generosity to serve others. If you have watched “The Social Dilemma” recently, then you will resonate with and understand what Nahid shares about the attack on our attention and the mental exhaustion we are facing. The power to change our habits, how we breathe, how much we move, and what we eat is in our hands though – we are at a point of realization that we can no longer put our careers at the cost of our health. You can even learn some easy hacks, for anyone tied to an office desk, on this episode. Gurki Basra, from Netflix’s “Dating Around” shares truths on Identity and Authenticity in Love
Gurki Basra came to popularity overnight, after her Netflix episode on the show titled “Dating Around” aired in 2019. Largely, because Gurki had an encounter with a male date that triggered for many viewers (especially women) the stigma, bias and judgments that are unfairly placed on women. On the show, it was in the context of dating but these issues perpetuate into many realms of society. I had an incredible and honest conversation with Gurki about her experience on the show and her journey since. We unpacked her difficult encounter on the show but also the opportunities for self-reflection and growth that have come from this time in her life. Gurki is now doing exciting things to uplift young women and help them redefine their identities outside of societal stereotypes. Young ladies, single ladies, married people, everyone – this is a must watch interview (link in bio) or listen to the By Intent podcast on the following streaming platforms (Spotify, Stitcher, Soundcloud, Apple and Google). Award-Winning Interior Designer, Lisa Staprans, on How Environments Impact the Soul and the Brain
Lisa Staprans has been an interior designer for over twenty years and has received numerous awards for her work, one of them being from the American Institute of Architects for her work on the Portola Valley Town Library, a platinum LEED-certified project. I deeply resonated with Lisa’s work as she is invested in discovering and maximizing the links between neuroscience and design i.e. how design impacts the brain and the soul of design. In this intriguing and highly informative conversation, we talk about how design can stimulate positive neurotransmitters, reduce the impact of stress, inspire creativity and how the integration with nature is about a connection to our very DNA. You will walk away with a deep appreciation for the art and science that is involved in orchestrating beautiful spaces that induce wellbeing and joy. Monita Rajpal, former CNN anchor, on media representation, identity detoxing and her new blog
