Sometimes exploring your unique interests may surprise you as others might share similar interests, which was the case for Shakes “Luv” Tomar who walked the land of Carleton looking for metalheads and found a community.

Shakes graduated from Carleton University in November 2016, securing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Throughout his undergrad years at Carleton, he was the Chief Executive of the Metal Ravens of Carleton; rocking along with his band Venator.

Towards the end of his undergrad years, the Metal Ravens went on to win the “Most Active CUSA Club” at Carleton, and was a cultural institution on campus.
