Politics is the cornerstone of living an intellectual livelihood. Knowing what is going on around the world allows one to be more knowledgeable and aware of the status quo.

In this episode we will be joined by Brockville City Councillor, Cameron Wales, where we delve into the importance of young people being involved in the political process.

Cameron has lived in Brockville for more than 20 years, and graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management in November 2018. From a young age, Cameron has been an active and engaged community volunteer, serving as Junior Trustee for United Way Leeds and Grenville, as coordinator of Brockville’s Community Cleanup Committee, and as a member of student government

As a City Councillor, Cameron serves on the Planning and Operations Standing Committee, along with several ad-hoc committees: Governance, Youth Advisory, St. Lawrence Lodge, Water and Wastewater, Twin-Pad, and Community Cleanup. In January, 2019, he was elected as Zone 7 Representative on the Rural Ontario Municipal Association Board of Directors.
