Harvest Intercontinental Church - Virginia is a multicultural, missions-oriented, and disciple-making church. We feel God has called us to make a difference where we are and are committed to helping people use the spiritual and physical resources the Lord has provided them to obey Him, and fulfill the destiny he has designed for them. Our goal is to win the lost at all costs. If you are looking for a church, where the word of God is taught in integrity and the members are focused on serving God and his people as well as making a difference in their communities then, please accept our personal invitation to make Harvest-Virginia your home. We can grow and serve the Lord together. At Harvest-Virginia, we have endeavored to focus on the holistic approach to ministry. O Give Thanks Unto the Lord - Video
Mather Teresa told a story about a family with eight children who had not eaten for days. She hurried to the family with some food. When she reached the family, she saw the faces of little children disfigured by hunger. There was no sorrow or sadness in their faces; just the deep pain of hunger. Mother Teresa gave the mother some rice. The mother divided it unto two and went out carrying half of the rice. When she came back, Mother Teresa asked her where did you go? She answered, “To my neighbor.” Mother Teresa said that she was not surprised that the Mother gave, because poor people are usually generous. But what surprised her was that the mother knew that her neighbors were hungry. Most of us when we face difficulties or suffering, we have the tendency to focus on ourselves and have no time for others. This story teaches a powerful lesson of what our response should be when God demonstrates his goodness to us. The Mother is the story was thankful to God for his goodness toward her family and the way she demonstrated her thankfulness was by sharing what God had blessed her with, with her neighbor. She took the time to find out the struggles and difficulties her neighbor was facing also.

2. Qualities of a Grateful Person - Video
A vital part of worship is presenting ourselves to the Lord for His service. The Bible instructs us to offer ourselves as living sacrifices to Him (Rom. 12:1). “Worship leads to service, and true service is worship.” We should not serve the Lord out of duty or obligation but out of the gladness of our hearts. Because of God’s great love and mercies, we should serve Him willingly and with joy. We should also remember what a tremendous privilege it is to be the servants of such a great King!

1. Characteristics of a Grateful Person - Video
The Bible says, Mary entered the house and went to Jesus and fell at his feet and began to weep. She washed his feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. Then she anointed them with an expensive perfume and kissing them. It seems that Mary wasn’t concerned about what others thought of her. This act of Mary demonstrates the three important characteristics of a grateful person. 1. A grateful person is a thankful 2. A grateful person heart is appreciative 3. A grateful person heart is delightful In fact the word grateful means thankful, appreciative and delightful. Mary was a grateful person. She was thankful: she entered where Jesus was and fell at his feet. She was appreciative: She washed his feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. She was delightful: She anointed his feet with an expensive perfume and kissed them. Although all of us may not do exactly what Mary did, all of us can become grateful people. We can all learn to be thankful, appreciative, and delightful people.
