The Bible says, Mary entered the house and went to Jesus and fell at his feet and began to weep. She washed his feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. Then she anointed them with an expensive perfume and kissing them. It seems that Mary wasn’t concerned about what others thought of her. This act of Mary demonstrates the three important characteristics of a grateful person. 1. A grateful person is a thankful 2. A grateful person heart is appreciative 3. A grateful person heart is delightful In fact the word grateful means thankful, appreciative and delightful. Mary was a grateful person. She was thankful: she entered where Jesus was and fell at his feet. She was appreciative: She washed his feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. She was delightful: She anointed his feet with an expensive perfume and kissed them. Although all of us may not do exactly what Mary did, all of us can become grateful people. We can all learn to be thankful, appreciative, and delightful people.
