Raef Granger
Welcome to Your Work Block! I’m on a mission to help solopreneurs (& duo-preneurs) become the masters of their businesses and lives. This podcast will talk about the unique joys and struggles often found in running these kinds of small to micro businesses. My focus is to provide useful tips you can use immediately, provide energy and hope, and maybe a little entertainment or interesting thoughts along the way.
Ep. 20: The Gift of Time and Yearly Calendar Planning
In this episode, we're talking about taking time--time to work on your business or time to not work at all. At the beginning of the year, we're often thinking about what's next and how to best utilize our time in the new year. Whether we like it or not, time is a finite resource. And we all have the same amount of time each day. This can be encouraging and discouraging at the same time, especially when we think about people like Bill Gates or Oprah Winfrey and what they've done with their time compared to what we've been able to do so far. Listen to hear my thoughts on how to focus our finite time to achieve the things we want, while still making room for non-productive things that we just enjoy doing.  Be sure to listen to the end, where I announce an in-person workshop I'm holding later this month. It would be a great way to "clear the deck" to achieve what you really want to achieve in 2024. Or visit raefgranger.com/masterclassprime!

Ep. 11: Squirrel vs. Bird
I'm Raef Granger, a business coach, and in this episode, I share a story about squirrels and bird feeders to explain the importance of designing your business to attract the right customers. Squirrels will work hard to get whatever they can get their hands on. But sometimes, their hard work is wasted or inefficient. They put all this effort into getting into a bird feeder, only for a couple of seeds. Sometimes that is like business, we work hard, but what's it for if we're not achieving our goals? In this episode, I mention "be the bird feeder" in business.  In other words, be the one that attracts the right customers, the ones who are interested in what YOU have to offer. This means understanding your target market and providing them with the products or services they need. If you're looking for ways to grow your business, this episode is for you!
