The McGill Big 3 Exercises are a foundation program that is used to create stability and endurance in the lower core muscles. These exercises have been shown to improve the tension of the core muscles so that stability is maintained over a longer period of time without fatigue/strain. Yup...tension...I know yogis shy away from anything that increases tension, but here we start to look at why tension can be a good thing and is actually needed in the body to maintain healthy movement and posture.

The passage I read was from: https://www.acefitness.org/education-and-resources/professional/expert-articles/7077/low-back-rehab-exercises-stuart-mcgill-s-big-three

If you would like to see The Yoga White Board you can watch the video format of this podcast on my YouTube Channel:

I also post a picture of The Yoga White Board on my Instagram each week: @LauraGyoga

Note: All strange background noises are attributed to my dog Redford wanting to be involved. I live in a Tiny House on Wheels that is 192 s.q. feet which creates some challenges in filming/recording content - but it is my experience that there is no ideal environment and there will always be distractions & these distractions are just another opportunity to work on our FOCUS :)
