Are Your Business Touches Turning Into Goals?
Hey, Enchilada Nation! While watching the World Cup, I became fascinated by all the statistics being tracked.Goals.Possession.Touches.Shots on goal.Opportunities created. It made me wonder: What would happen if we evaluated our businesses the same way?A touch might be a conversation, social media interaction, email, introduction or phone call. But a touch by itself doesn’t mean very much. The real question is whether that touch becomes possession—an actual opportunity you can strategically move forward. Then, can you progress that opportunity far enough to earn a shot on goal? And when the opportunity finally arrives, can you finish? In real estate, that progression might look like this:A conversation becomes a qualified lead. The lead becomes an appointment. The appointment puts you at the kitchen table. The listing agreement becomes the goal. You can have the most conversations, the most appointments and the most opportunities—but if you never develop the ability to finish, all that activity can eventually become exhausting. In this week’s episode of The Whole Enchilada, I break down four stages of business performance:• Touches• Possession• Shots on goal• GoalsI also explore an important question:Are you naturally a creator, a finisher or someone who can operate as both? There isn’t one correct answer. The key is understanding your own zone of genius, building the right team around it and creating a practiced strategy for moving opportunities down the field. LISTEN OR WATCH HERE: After listening, ask yourself:Where is the ball getting stuck in my business? Are you generating enough touches? Are those touches becoming possession? Are opportunities progressing toward a shot?Or are you getting opportunities but struggling to finish?Find the weakest stage and start practicing it intentionally. Then, when you finally put one in the net, celebrate the heck out of it. Go live life on your terms,Marcus

Decision Velocity VS Decision Fatigue
Hey TWE Nation,The world is moving faster than it ever has before.More information.More opportunities.More distractions.More decisions. Most people are talking about this being a “skill-based market,” but I think many are focused on the wrong skills. They are spending time getting better at things that may no longer be relevant. One of the most important skills I’ve been working on lately is something I call Decision Velocity.Decision Velocity is the ability to consume information, filter it through strategy, and make better decisions faster than the market around you.Notice I didn’t say make decisions faster.I said make BETTER decisions faster. The challenge is that most people are suffering from decision fatigue. They are spending mental energy on hundreds of small decisions every day and then wondering why they struggle when a decision that actually matters shows up.To increase decision velocity, I believe every entrepreneur and leader needs to ask four questions:What can I automate? What needs to happen faster? What should be standardized?Where must I slow down? The future belongs to people who know the difference.Move fast where silence is expensive.Slow down where mistakes are expensive. For me, I’ve been speeding up my learning, AI implementation, and how quickly I can coach and teach others. At the same time, I’ve been slowing down to revisit my personal mission, develop my leadership, and nurture the relationships that matter most.Fast at the edges.Precise at the core.Remember: Speed is not the hero.Responsiveness is.The entrepreneur of the future will not win because they know more. They will win because they learn, decide, and adapt faster. So here’s my question for you:Where do you need to automate, accelerate, standardize, and slow down?Go live life on your terms,Marcus GreenThe Whole Enchilada

The Lens You ViewThe World Through
One Thought to Challenge You“We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.” (Anaïs Nin)Your mindset doesn’t just influence your mood. It influences your relationships, your opportunities, your leadership, and ultimately the life you experience. One Insight from ExperienceThere’s an old story about a monk sitting outside a village in the mountains. Two travelers ask him what kind of people live in the next town. The first traveler says the last village was full of rude, selfish people. The monk replies:“You’ll probably find the same here.”The second traveler says the last village was full of kind and generous people. The monk replies:“You’ll probably find the same here.”I think about this story often because I know two siblings extremely well. Similar age. Same upbringing. Same environment.Yet they experience life completely differently. One is hopeful, opportunistic, grateful, and generally happy. They see setbacks as lessons and challenges as opportunities. The other constantly feels frustrated. Focused on what’s unfair, what’s broken, and why life keeps happening to them.Same starting point.Different lens. And honestly, most of us do this too.Wayne Dyer said:“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”That doesn’t mean reality magically changes overnight. But your perspective changes what you notice, pursue, tolerate, and create.A few reminders this week:* Examine the lens you’re carrying.* Take ownership of the energy you bring into rooms.* Build environments that challenge you to elevate.Because eventually, the environments around you begin reflecting the mindset within you. One Question to PonderWhat kind of lens am I carrying into my business, relationships, faith, and future right now? Want to Go Deeper?ResourcesMan’s Search for Meaning by Viktor FranklA masterclass on perspective, responsibility, and meaning during adversity. The Obstacle Is the Way by Ryan HolidayHow resilient people turn difficulty into opportunity.Essentialism by Greg McKeownA powerful framework for focusing your energy and attention on what matters most. If this message resonated with you, share it with someone who may need a perspective shift this week. And if you’re not already connected, come follow along on Instagram: @marcusgreentwe Go live life on your terms,Marcus

#111 – The HIDDEN SKILL That SHAPES Your REALITY
The Hidden Skill Shaping Your Reality | Observation, Bias, and the 3×3 Drill What if the biggest factor shaping your reality is something you practice every day without realizing it? In this episode, Marcus Green explores the hidden skill of observation and how your perception determines what opportunities, problems, and possibilities you notice in the world around you. Marcus explains the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon (also known as frequency bias), where once you become aware of something, you suddenly begin seeing it everywhere. This psychological pattern highlights a powerful truth: Observation is not passive. It is a skill that shapes your beliefs, decisions, and ultimately your reality. Through examples, philosophy, and practical exercises, Marcus shows how selective attention, negativity bias, and confirmation bias influence the way people interpret the world. Drawing on insights from Anaïs Nin, Bob Marley, and Marcus Aurelius, this episode explores how controlling your mindset and observation can dramatically change how you experience life. Marcus also introduces a practical daily exercise called the 3×3 Drill, designed to train your brain to look for progress, opportunity, and positive contribution. If you want to lead better, think more clearly, and recognize opportunities others miss, this conversation will give you a powerful mental framework. The 3×3 Drill Each day, write down: * Three things that went right* Three opportunities you noticed* Three people who added value to your day This simple habit helps rewire your observation patterns and strengthens your ability to recognize opportunity and growth. Timestamps 00:08 Hidden Skill Intro01:11 Baader Meinhof Explained02:41 Negativity Bias Example03:32 Observation Is A Skill04:27 Quotes That Reframe Reality05:21 Chaos Creates Opportunity06:09 Bob Marley On Perception07:41 From Knowledge To Action09:29 Observation Identity Loop10:57 Choose Positive Focus11:56 Lead With Positive Observation14:21 Three By Three Drill16:19 Spot Opportunities Daily17:28 Closing Challenge About Marcus Green Marcus Green is the founder of The Whole Enchilada, a community focused on helping driven individuals build a life of impact across business, wealth, health, relationships, faith, and adventure. The goal is simple: Go live life on your terms. Subscribe for more conversations on leadership, mindset, and designing a life aligned with your values. #Leadership #Mindset #PersonalDevelopment #SelfMastery #EnchiladaNation

#110 – 3 RULES to change how YOU LEAD YOUR LIFE
Lou Holtz’s 3 Rules for Life and LeadershipWhat if living a great life came down to just three simple rules?Legendary coach Lou Holtz often shared three principles that can transform the way you make decisions, lead others, and build meaningful relationships. They are simple. But when applied intentionally, they become a powerful framework for living a life by design.Lou Holtz’s three rules are:Do the right thingDo the best you canShow people you care In this video, filmed in Maui, I break down how these three principles can guide how you live and lead across the most important areas of life.BusinessRelationshipsFaithFinancesHealthWhen these ideas are applied through clear values and long-term thinking, they become a roadmap for building a life that wins across all areas. Rule #1: Do the Right ThingDoing the right thing begins with knowing your core values. When your values are clear, decision making becomes much easier because you have a filter to evaluate every opportunity and challenge. This is where second order thinking becomes powerful.Instead of asking only what happens next, you begin asking deeper questions:What are the long-term consequences of this decision?Where will this path lead two or three steps down the road? Will this decision move me closer to the person I want to become? Thinking this way leads to stronger leadership and better long-term outcomes.Thomas Jefferson once gave advice that captures this idea well:Swim with the current in style, but stand like a rock in principle. In other words, adapt when needed, but never compromise your principles. Rule #2: Do the Best You CanDoing your best does not mean exhausting yourself. It means showing up each day with focused and intentional effort. One powerful way to do this is by replacing your traditional to-do list with a success list.A success list focuses only on the handful of actions that truly move your life and work forward.Instead of trying to accomplish everything, you identify the few priorities that create real progress. This approach creates more clarity, less stress, and better results. Rule #3: Show People You CareLeadership is not only about results. It is about people. When people feel seen, valued, and appreciated, trust grows.Strong relationships are built when care is communicated consistently through actions such as:Listening intentionallyOffering encouragementRecognizing effortExpressing gratitude When people know you care about them as individuals, loyalty and collaboration naturally follow.

#109 – Stop Overthinking, Start Moving
The Distance Between Deciding and DoingYou already know what to do.The problem is not information. It is hesitation. The distance between deciding and doing is the single biggest predictor of whether your life becomes extraordinary or ordinary. Not your talent. Not your background. Not even the quality of your decision. It is how fast you move. Most people stay stuck because they keep researching, comparing, and waiting to feel ready.Meanwhile, someone else decides, acts, adjusts, and tries again. The only wrong action is inaction.Intentions do not create results. Execution does. There are two versions of you. The one who knows. The one who acts.Success happens when those two become the same person. So close the gap.Make the call. Start the plan. Have the conversation. Take the step. You deserve the life you want. No one is going to build it for you.It is time to move.Go live life on your terms.
