13: Mental Toughness
I have been following a friend of mine, Colin Mason (@cmason_20) on his 75Hard journey where he has been working on a program that builds your mental toughness. We are so used to programs that focus on physical health but never our mental health and lately, I have been struggling to get my mind right. I have been living in negative conversations more often than not. I am not staying in the conversations long, but they are frequent and I am trying to understand why. Colin's journey has given me some insight on what may be missing in my world which is being intentional around building my mental toughness. As a courage coach, I live with great courage daily but then have hiccups and have to start all over. This program would allow me to live 75 days, consecutively, where I get to build up my mental stamina. Which scares the living hell out of me but I know I need it. Working as a coach I have noticed the hard truth that in order to reach your dreams and hit your goals, you have to be vulnerable and willing to get uncomfortable. 10. Guilt & Joy
Have you ever felt guilty for feeling joyful? After I lost Terese, I almost automatically told myself I could NEVER feel happy again as it would not honor her death. When I had Tegan, I started to experience that I could live with sadness and joy without feeling bad. I could love Tegan and miss Terese in the same moment. I could be smiling while crying knowing that I had to lose Terese in order to have Tegan. Instead of forcing yourself to feel one way or another - allow yourself to live in both places. Honor the sadness and Celebrate the Joy!

9. Law of Attraction
Have you ever read the book 'The Secret', by Rhonda Byrnes? If you haven't, you are MISSING OUT! It is all about the Law of Attraction which is the belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into our lives. So if you think you can, you will. If you think you can't, you won't. One small example of this for me is every time I go to a store or restaurant I always get the BEST parking spot because, in the deepest part of my soul, I truly believe it to be true. All my life, my grandma would say "I live a good life" every time we would find the best parking spot and it carried on with me to adulthood. What you think to be true, the universe will provide! Try it out!

8. Courage Challenge
I took on the challenge to live COURAGEOUSLY everyday this year. Every day is an opportunity to live with bravery whether it is singing out loud, asking for help, admitting a mistake, accepting a compliment, cutting all your hair off, or failing spectuaclary and getting up again! Courage isn't about having the strength to carry on; Courage is about carrying on when you don't have the strength! We all have Courage, some of us have stories that tell us otherwise. You are here today because of the COURAGE you have. It looks different for everyone but we all have it.  Heres my Method to recognition my Courage Step 1. Awareness - Acknlowledging where I am at and how I got here Step 2. Acceptance - Pull out all the things I can Control and those things I can't and let the Guy Above take it off my hands. Step 3. Action - Put all the learnings on the road and move with it. Step 4. Award - Most important. Acknowledge the WIN. Award the WINS.

6. What Is Your Braid?
Raise your hand if you ever looked in the mirror and criticized how you looked? I imagine you are all raising your hands.  Now I am not perfect but when I found that wearing a LONG ELSA braid was my path into self-love, I have not gone many days without it! I fell in love with myself when I change my definition of beauty. When I appreciated the stories our bodies go through as women. It took me being able to put my hair in a braid to truly love the gifts my body has given me. So what is your braid? What will be the one thing that helps you find the confidence to truly accept you for who you are, imperfectly perfect.
