The Three Why's Men
The Three Why's Men
Louis Ross
Originally intended as a book club, the idea for the podcast was born after we decided some other people might want to listen to us rambling. Each season brings a new book to review, join us as we discuss the key themes and topics with a different set of guests who provide fascinating insight into their experiences.
S2 Ep6 Matt Bentley (Ex MLS draftee)
The sixth and final episode of season 2 is with Matt Bentley. Matt played for 4 years in the collegiate system (3 at West Virginia Wesleyan & 1 at Missouri State) before getting drafted by Minnesota United. Unfortunately, the MLS side did not choose to sign Matt after a few weeks of training which left him without options at USL level as roster spots had been filled. Matt has had no shortage of interest from clubs in Europe and in America and this coming season we are really looking forward to seeing him shine wherever he ends up.  This episode was so much fun & we hope you enjoy listening to it!  The link to Newsly can be found here https://newsly.me/ - use the promo code MEN2021 3WM --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

S1 Ep4 Cam Foulkes (Creator of Inside the Mind & DRFC age group coach)
In this episode Cam provides us with a different spin on topics from the book as he gives us insight into his experiences playing football & now coaching at the academy level. The past few years have unfortunately given us some tragic stories about ex-academy players who have tried to, or committed suicide & Cam's twitter and Instagram account @_InsideTheMind1 gives some really raw and in depth stories from players who have experienced the academy environment. Each story is different but there are some common themes from what Cam posts and it is well worth checking it out and helping him spread awareness of the difficulties that these young people face.  We explore team, club and some organisational identity in this podcast and we really hope that you enjoy it; there's so much to take from this and we thank Cam for giving up his time to come and spread the word on a topic that is so relevant right now and needs more attention.  3WM --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
