Our last episode for 2020, and what a year it has been. Our guest in this episode is a long-standing resident of Christie Walk, a hub for sustainable living in every sense that sits on an old recycling depot on the Adelaide CBD.
Simon walks us through the community's history, the things that have worked well and a few that haven't, and (in true Christie Walk style) how they plan to continue challenging the way our homes and meeting spaces are designed and used. Thanks for listening, see you in 2021!

Nick Graalman is a freelance camera operator and cinematographer based in South Australia. He is considered one of the early pioneers in motion control time-lapse photography, and has received several awards for his films that showcase the impact our species is having on the environment. In his most recent film, Nick and his partner spent a year changing almost everything about their lives, from how they commute and source their food to where their waste ends up, all with the hope to stay below 2 tonnes of carbon dioxide per person per year (a tough feat, Australia has an average per capita footprint of 17 tonnes). Nick shares some simple (and not so simple) ways you can also live a low carbon life.
