Born and raised in the American West, Brent Barrett is a scientist by trade, having worked on farms, sparking a love of the land and learning. Now living in New Zealand, Brent is also a Councillor for Palmerston North City Council and leads the Environment & Sustainability and Active & Public Transport portfolios. He also leads efforts to bolster culture and environmental projects in the community and is a commissioner under the Resource Management Act.
