In Part 3 the four-part Spring/Summer 2021 series, Rachel and Nicole speak to one of San Diego's busiest lecturers and the self-titled “adopted child” of the RWS department, Emma Lee Whitworth, about her experience helping create mentorship opportunities for writing students and how she came to be a part of the RWS family.

They also catch up with one of the first tutors from the SDSU Writing Center, Hasan Autman, a rapper-turned-linguist who went on to use his skills to build writing centers overseas and also happens to be obsessed with comic books.

About the series: In this four-part second installment of The Rhetorical Situation, join graduate students Rachel Michelle Fernandes and Nicole Golden as they speak with faculty, alumni, staff, and fellow students of the Rhetoric and Writing Studies Department about their experiences making it through this harrowing past academic year.
