In this final episode the four-part Spring/Summer 2021 series, Rachel and Nicole talk to two current RWS Master’s students who both grew up in San Diego and travelled very unique paths towards getting a higher education. The first, Jenna Levasseur, talks about balancing her professional duties working full time as the Development Coordinator for the College of Sciences with completing her degree and planning at wedding during this last semester. The second, Carl Silva, shares how he has worked to maintain a close relationship over the years with the national charter school, The Knowledge Is Power Program (or KIPP), that once inspired him to get a higher education.

About the series: In this four-part second installment of The Rhetorical Situation, join graduate students Rachel Michelle Fernandes and Nicole Golden as they speak with faculty, alumni, staff, and fellow students of the Rhetoric and Writing Studies Department about their experiences making it through this harrowing past academic year.
