All the gurus talk about visualization. We all know that you're supposed to see the picture in your mind and then, boom!
The secret, right?
But what almost no one understands about visualization is the concept of looking forward and thinking back.
It’s not holding a picture in your mind that helps you succeed, it's getting your brain in a certain state. And that can happen even if you have a weak imagination-as long as you're following the right steps.
In today's push, I cover:
- What's the first thing you should do when you're visualizing
- The step that is key to multiplying your odds of success
- The one thing you should NOT do if you want to maximize your success probability
- And more
All in a quick productivity push.
Give it a listen.
Motivation for working dads that still dream of living life on their own terms.

Transcripts: So today on the productivity push we are talking about make it transformations. Now, what does that mean? Really? Um, it's the idea that you can let people see your change and your evolution in public as you grow. And the reason we're talking about that today is because a lot of people look at their role model than they are heroes. And you see that they're so far ahead of where you want to get to that you almost feel ashamed or embarrassed or self conscious about being where you are when the ideal vision of where you want to be so far away and how you can get there without letting people see your transformation. I, this is, um, JP JP Adams online and this is the productivity push. So the reason I wanted to talk about the Macon transformation or the public transformation is because this is something that I've spoken to with a lot of people....

Today on the Productivity Push, we are talking about the biggest prerequisite to success that most people don't think about. Hey guys, this is JP from JP Adams online and you are on the productivity push. So what is the biggest prerequisite to success that most people don't think about? Right? A lot of people might think it's goals as a starting point or they might think it's, you know, having ideas or they might think it's all these things. But actually the biggest prerequisite to success is belief. You have to belief. Now I can take that and say maybe it's faith, maybe it's trusting in yourself or any which way that you would phrase it. But I would take it in and say that it's belief in your ability to do the thing that you want to do, right? Because deep down inside, if you don't have any hope, if you don't have any faith, if you don't have any trust that you can bring about the thing that you're about to embark on, then you would never even...

If you feel like most of the productivity advice out there doesn't apply to you because you have a day job, you got a bunch of kids, and when you try to open up a book and get some kind of advice on how to apply, you know, all these techniques to your life, it doesn't fit, then today's episode is for you. Hey guys, I'm, this is JP from JP Adams online. And in today's episode we are talking about productivity advice for adults basically for adults. Um, I think that a lot of the productivity advice out there and some of the productivity books out there and things like that are done by people that have, um, a fairly decent control of their day. Right? It's not like for people that are, you know, have a job and their schedule is dictated by their work schedules or by their manager and they go home and they have like young kids or even up to teenagers where they're still dependent on you and they asking you to do things for them...

Push V - Just Do It: Actionable advice +ways to make progress on your big goals with procrastination
Actionable advice on the most powerful way to make progress on your business and life goals. 00:00
I think that this is the key to all of this. Um, Hey guys, welcome to the productivity push. Today We're talking about just making it happen. Um, so when you're thinking about the things that you have to do and the things that are on your plate, essentially what's happening is that you have maybe a few things that you're very clear that you have to do or you have a lot of things that you have to do and you really haven't gotten a chance to clarify your thoughts on them and the outcomes that you want about them yet. Now in that list of things where you have some stuff and you have, you know, things that are a little bit vague and ambiguous and you have things that are more clearly set up and done, you also have the things that you definitely know what to do.
00:52
What's a clear action? That's a clear finish line and you probably have a decent idea that it's going to take you anywhere from whatever, let's say five minutes, 10 minutes tops, 20 minutes. Even in the grand scheme of things, that's not a lot of time. But for most people, what ends up happening is because that one clear thing that would make help you make progress on something is as varied with other things that you haven't clarified yet. The entire list of things now overwhelm you. Now, if you wrote the list down, it probably makes it a little bit better. But if it's in your head, then guess what? That tiny thing that's going to take five minutes and the giant thing that's going to take five years, they're both sitting in there competing for your attention and it's just overwhelming you. So what has to happen is that you need to first of all, get it out of your head...

Speaker 1: (00:06)Today we're talking full stack productivity. So you know, normally when you talk about productivity with people, they might tend to gravitate towards one of the different facets of it. So some people might think time management, some people might think prioritization, some people might think energy management, but all of these things roll up into what is known as productivity as a whole. Now productivity is about getting your results and that's it. If you're spending most of your time moving towards something that is going to get the right result, then you're being productive. If you're not, then you're not being productive like it doesn't matter what you know. People say it's not. The activities is not, the action is not being busy and it's not even doing a lot. It's about taking the actions however little, however calmly, however cool-headed...
