Kim and I have known each other since we were babies. We met in Canada, and her family moved to California when she was 7 years old. For awhile, we were actual penpals and we rekindled our connection as adults. I was amazed to discover in this conversation that Kim is teaching in ways similar to how I coach my clients. She teaches 2nd and 3rd graders in a public school and has a passion for creating classrooms that honor each child’s unique self while also teaching them how to live and learn in community. She is a life-long learner herself who finds joy, solace, and lessons in humility in her daily yoga practice and new love of watercolor painting.
