Excellent Podcast!
I was recently diagnosed with ADHD - I knew exactly where to turn to start my education on it - Stacy’s podcast! I loved the recent episode on overcoming self sabotage - the end call to action was such perfect advice!!

Consistently fantastic podcast
Recently found this podcast and really like it. So grateful for episode 049 about the new war on cancer. Your conversation with author and journalist Kristina Marusic was so informative. What really resonated with me was the fact that the biggest determinant of our health is our zip code and was shocked to learn that only 2% of the ingredients in our products have ever been tested for safety. This was an amazing episode!

Excellent interviews and thorough research
Most recently I listened to and loved Ep. 93 on ADHD, but I am always so appreciative of the sound quality for Stacy’s guests (not always the case on other shows). I also love her interview style and the massive amount of time and research that goes into every show.

She’s real… and that’s what we need!
I’ve just started listening to The Whole View and have to say I’m hooked! I’m even listening back to old episodes! The fact that it’s just real, proven with facts and science, yet conversational enough to make you want to listen and not turn it off because you’re bored! THANK YOU! This is what we need!

Great topics, research, insight and guests!
I have been listening to Stacy talk on The Whole View, The Real Everything and The Paleo View (and was it Paleo Mom’s before that?) for years. I love the topics, research and insight she brings to what she is passionate about. They happen to be what I want to learn more about as well! I just finished listening to ep. 83 because my whole family is currently discovering the many benefits of therapy and found even more helpful tools and information in this episode. Thanks for what you do!

One of my favorites!
I have been listening to the Whole View for a very long time—many years to be more exact. I was disappointed when Sarah left the show, but actually, I am enjoying the show even more now that Stacy has taken over the reins. She has a wide variety of topics which are always well researched. It is always fun listening to this podcast each week, and if you are lucky, sometimes there will be a bonus episode! Keep up the good work, and keep digging for all of the science-backed, evidence-based research.

Tackles real issues with science
Stacy Toth tackles real issues with a healthy perspective utilizing science. Whether it’s health at any size, social injustices, or parenting teens. Issues I’m faced with daily, she just gets me. Thank you for this great podcast!

Dr Mary Claire Haver
I was excited to listen to this but felt like the Dr. didn’t have enough speaking time. It devolved into listening to Stacey just talking about herself. It felt odd and uncomfortable- I wanted the guest to speak. That being said- I usually like this podcast- but feel like when we choose a certain topic and hit play, we want to hear the guests opinions as well.

Informative & Real

Some episodes better than others
I have followed this show for over 5 years. I have learned much and enjoyed listening. Unfortunately, the past year has been filled with propaganda involving coronavirus. If Stacey and Sarah did as through investigations into the origins and misuse of science funding to fund the Chinese to do gain of function research much of the lies involving coronavirus would be corrected. They claim to “follow the science” if this is the case please do an update showing what the science shows 1. Coronavirus has over 99% survivability, 2 masks do not work, 3 that hydroxychloroquine is effective against coronavirus. The social justice episodes are a waste of time. This is a science based show and critical race theory does not belong. This show was formally based on science and has declined to a woke propaganda show. For instance, on episode 40 Steve Yacovelli describes people getting time off work for the death of a pet. This is ridiculous, no wonder America has declined. These lazy liberals supporting these policies are destroying this country. If you respect this country and the values of it do not listen. If you are a woke fool move to Venezuela where you will fit right in. There is no medical reason for an abortion. Check your science!

Absolutely LOVE this podcast
I always know when listening to this podcast, I’ll hear reputable and knowledgeable guests speak on relevant health topics. I loved the episode with Dr. Tan - so super informative on the benefits of vitamin E. Made me want to go pick up the supplement tomorrow! This podcast is changing lives for the better.

An informative show with a charismatic host, A+
The breadth and depth of research into the topics of the show and how the show has evolved over the years has made it a constant in my feed. Stacy is a rockstar and I appreciate her candor, vulnerability, and leadership qualities as a host. The episodes on Covid and vaccines were instrumental to my comfort as a person working to understand my health. The anti-diet transition and shedding of the paleo moniker really was parallel and helpful with my own transition away from orthorexic patterns. I miss Dr Sarah, of course, but Stacy has shown herself to be a capable solo host. The expansion of topics has been delightful and the guests have been so well chosen and informative. It’s just a great show I look forward to listening to every week.

Lost all credibility
These hosts lost all credibility when they started pushing Covid propaganda. Citing studies from the vaccine manufacturers as proof of safety/efficacy?? That is just laughable! I hope these hosts have the integrity to now admit how wrong they were in pushing these experimental injections. We can all see first hand the huge numbers of people who have gotten Covid after being vaxxed/boosted. My own family (as well as many other people I know) did not take the vaccine and have all remained healthy and vibrant. It is my sincere hope these ladies will correct the false information (which is so obvious now) they pushed onto their audience.

Went from Sarah’s “scientific literacy” to Stacy’s absolutely embarrassing pseudoscience
I cannot believe this podcast went from a very trustworthy source for scientific health information and advice, coming from Sarah who explicitly focused on scientific literacy, to a show that has the pseudoscientific gall to have an episode about the “science of ASTROLOGY”. As an astronomer, I’m aghast at this level of ignorant anti-science and I’m so disappointed in the 180 switch of content and respectability here. Ugh, what an embarrassment.

Whole View
I finally figured out how to write a review of a podcast! I have enjoyed many of the Whole View podcasts but a few of them have been real standouts for me. I think the move towards integrating emotional health with physical health has been wonderful. A few episodes have been real standouts for me. One was the episode on ADHD when Matt was on. Any of them on body image have touched my heart. And the recent episode on the Enneagram was excellent. I look forward to more topics that lead me in the direction of personal growth. At 71 I still have a lot of learning ahead of me!

Not a bad podcast, however, about 25-30% of the time is spent on commercials and self-promotion.

Conversation about salt
Interesting topic. I’m also attracted to salt. I salt my water with Morton’s kosher salt and prefer pink Himalayan salt, but if I find fleur dec Sel, I’m on it as I live at the beach and love that smell. My idea of a “human salt lick” is eating chips at a Mexican restaurant! My momma salted her watermelon!

Love the new conversational format!
I love the breadth of health and wellness topics!

Used to be good
I’ve listened to this podcast for quite a while and have appreciated all of the research-based and applicable information Dr Sarah shares. The change in format moving forward is a disappointment. Considering the basis of the podcast was research-based information the move to topics aren’t about health or have anything to do with research doesn’t make much sense. 😕

Real life science based nutrition
Excellent content, very science based. Love hearing explanations of hormones & body reactions to food. Love hearing about the recipes & real life people living an autoimmune paleo lifestyle. Love it!

Love you guys but…
Love you guys but I think you need to really consider the repetitive call to check with your doctor, work with your doctor. I fully understand why you’re saying this but… what doctor helps someone test and optimize vitamin D of zinc or Mg levels? Most don’t. This is what a function nutritionist does, not really a doctor. Let’s get clear on who does what in this world…

Still the best
This remains the best science based health-related podcast out there. Science is about the development and testing of hypotheses. When the vast majority of studies lead to a specific conclusion, then that is what gets presented. That is what the vast majority of REAL research indicates. However they are clear that despite the vast majority of research leading to a specific conclusion, you are free to do what you want. Unbiased doesn’t mean you give ‘equal time’ when the research findings are not equal. I recall countless episodes where the hosts do discuss contrary evidence. Thus reviews that say the hosts only cover one side of an argument are false. Go here if you are interested in learning something.

Guide to life!
Updated: I want to just thank S and S for their careful and thorough approach to Covid 19. They presented the science accurately and without bias, and I’m grateful. This podcast is amazing. I love Stacy and Sarah so much. They complement each other perfectly. I learn so much from every episode and I’m so grateful they do this. I have an autoimmune disease and I educate my doctor based on what they teach me here with real science references and unbiased information. I have listened to every episode twice!

Not very scientific
Sarah and Stacy present their topics as “only the facts” but it’s becoming more and more clear they are only following their own biases. Their latest podcast on the booster uses only Pfizer studies and data to support their claims. It’s beyond me why anyone claiming to be a scientist would only look at one source for their conclusions, especially when that source has a potential to be extremely skewed in its favor. Similarity with topics on metabolic health, they leave out clear data on blood sugar regulation and the benefits of building muscle. At the end of the day it’s clear they pick and choose studies to support their own opinions. So take this information with a grain of salt, don’t take it for gospel and do your research since their perspective is super misleading to call it “the facts”. Also, science isn’t facts. It’s hypotheses. And anyone claiming that topics like the virus or vaccine can be proved one way or the other with facts is clearly not being very thorough. There is a lot we don’t know yet. Additionally, having a study say something is one thing but seeing how it plays out in the real world is another. So just because “science” may say that carrots are the best for you for example, if someone doesn’t like carrots, that’s not going to be the best for them. You can’t make sweeping claims like that. Overall, be wary of this podcast!

I unsubscribed today after 3 years
I USED to love this podcast! I couldn’t wait until the next episode dropped. Recently, “the science” is seeming less the leading topic. I get annoyed with the comments about the podcast’s goal to be unbiased and allowing listeners to come to their own conclusions- it’s OBVIOUS what conclusions you have reached. I’m sick of your covid science- please present the research without being so clear on how you personally view these conclusions. I would have been so much more convinced with just the studies pending there was no personal commentary. It pushed me farther away.

Not a fan of the new format, topics, and ads
I thought the show used to be great and very informative and sometimes it still is. Lately it seems like they venture into mental health and offer opinions and guidance that an expert should be providing. I feel like if they’re going to cover mental health topics, then they should bring an expert onto the show. The new intro, music, and ads are pretty hokey and annoying. I miss the more health and diet driven podcasts.

Great info!
Thank you for the work you put into this show and all the great info you provided with science to help educate people to understand this vaccine and bust the myths. I feel more confident about the jab because of listening to all your shows about the covid vaccines.

Good Content, Not Great Ads
I’ve loved this podcast for years. Sarah and Stacy are warm, approachable and the work/research they put into each episodes really shows. They deserve the financial gains I would assume came with the new format. However, there are so many more ads now, and the ads are not in line with the show’s philosophy. For example, a podcast about weight stigma may start off with an ad for Victoria’s Secret.

Covid Vaccine info
Thank you so much for your episodes on the Covid vaccines and the questions and myths plus the Delta Variant. I was all for getting the vaccine and not super worried about it. Yet, when I face others that question it I fell stuck not really having any facts to help them answer their questions or defend why I got it. Those episodes gave me so I much good information and the way you both presented it made it easier to understand! Thank you so much for doing all that work to do those episodes. Even if one person heard those episodes and it changed their minds and got vaccinated you just saved a life. I am guessing there will be more then one person changing their mind after hearing those episodes. Thank you for making a difference in helping to fight all the negativity about the vaccines! Plus saving lives!

Great info, needs an editor.
The info contained in these shows is great, but needs to be condensed into succinct, concise, to the point, answer the question or prove your point in 15 minutes or less shows. Often it’s is filled with unnecessary conversation and banter. Sometimes conversation can be condescending and unprofessional. I will stick to the Paleo Mom blogs and recipes, Dr Hyman and Dr Ben Lynch. These shows are just too long for the information provided and sometimes I don’t feel respected as a listener.

Ignore the negative reviews, it’s amazing
I am so glad to have found this podcast, it’s packed with amazing health science and how to integrate it. I cannot recommend it enough. There are some negative reviews about their humor or saying um.. I find it to be a minor annoyance at the most! These women are doing their best to provide comprehensive information and I deeply appreciate it. I’d love to hear the negative reviewers try to talk about these dense topics without saying um! Much harder than you think it is. And as far as humor, it’s fine! They are middle aged moms what do you expect. They are both very personable .Anyway, killer podcast, keep it up ladies! Loved the men’s health and collagen episodes

Life changing
I’ve listened to this podcast for years, and over that time period, it has completely reshaped my mindset towards health and nutrition. I didn’t come to in to listening to it with a previous health condition, but my mindset towards nutrition specifically was not healthy and not well informed. I feel smarter after every episode with actionable, science based (non-biased) steps to improve my health, wellness, and overall life. I feel better equipped to make decisions that will set my health and my family’s health up for long term success. I get excited for the next topic every week and frequently share episodes with friends and family. I love that the hosts weigh in on current events with what the science says and also update us when new research is published on a topic previous covered. This is hands down my favorite podcast!

I love this podcast! They work so hard to research and present the facts as supported by the science. My favorite health podcast at the moment.

Useful Information That's Buried in a Long, Dull Format
Over the past two days, I have suffered through three “The Whole View” podcasts. I appreciate the information shared in these podcasts, but the delivery method is frustrating. The show is far longer than needed, due to so many utterances of 'Um” and “Uh,” lame attempts at humor, inappropriate laughter (after the aforementioned lame attempts at humor, but also after general comments that do not warrant a laugh), and too many slow, boring personal stories that aren’t relevant to the episode. If the episodes were tightened-up and the pace increased just a bit, I’d guess the podcasts could be reduced in length by at least 50%. Sarah could deliver the podcast on her own. Thus far, I’ve seen no value added by the other person.

Umm
Episode 440. I was really looking forward to this podcast. However, whoever is doing the majority of the speaking, although the content was good, she must have said, Umm, 30 times in the first three minutes, and it was so distracting. It drove me so crazy that I had to shut it off. Bummer, bc the content was great, but unfortunately, you are being listened to, and your voice & words are all I’m focusing on. Please work on removing that word from your vocabulary. It takes away from all of your knowledge & diminishes your confidence in the audiences eyes. Just constructive criticism. The content was really great.

Science for non nerds.
Thanks for all the time you spend researching this Dr Sarah! And for explaining the science to non nerds like me. It has helped me make an informed decision on a vaccine (which I normally avoid due to autoimmune diagnosis). Hearing lots of fearful people around me give their opinions has made it hard not to fall into that pit. The struggle is real! Your balanced approach is so welcome!!
