Jonathan is a brown belt at spartan fitness in Birmingham, Alabama and I’ve had the pleasure of being smoothly dismantled by him a good few times. He recently put his name on the map by performing incredibly in the first season of the Professional Grappling Federation. In this episode I get to have a good conversation with my uncle Robert. My uncle is one of seven siblings and was around in my life a lot when I was young so it was great to catch up with him. He is one of the most skilled martial artists I’ve gotten the pleasure of learning from. In this episode I get the awesome opportunity to talk to the creator of one of my favorite instagram accounts, Armando Herrera. Armando is a husband and father of 4 really awesome kids. His instagram account documents their journey through their own world of jiu jitsu and, for me, shows how quickly kids can get really good at anything they stay disciplined with. In 4 short years he has managed to develop each kid into little(and big) assassins. We get deep into the how and why of what he does and I really loved listening and learning from his perspective on things.
