Ignoring some of the character traits we have because of our experiences in the world or because we are afraid of how the world would take it may not be the best way to bring glory to God. God says, let your light shine before men that they may see your good work and glorify your Father in heaven (Matt. 5:16). We need to bring glory to God's name and that starts by letting our lights shine. 

The way we live our lives says a lot about how we see and value ourselves. Sometimes, we may be going through times when we are so unaware of who we are in Christ and we need a reminder. This is that reminder. God has said so much about you in the Bible. Start from there to know more about yourself then go deeper with the Holy Spirit to find out more and let these encounters shape the value you see in yourself. 

Our major goal on earth is to imitate Jesus. Matt 28: 19-20 give the great command to go and make disciples of all nation but to do this our main goal is to first learn about Jesus and become more like him. The Holy Spirit is our help to do this because by our strengths we can not achieve that high calling.
