Join us for a very special health series answering your Covid-19 questions with Anne Stambaugh, BSN, RN. Many of us have heard multiple theories and ideas surrounding Covid-19, and information can even seem to change from time to time. In this episode we unpack data and stories about Covid-19, filtering through various things we've heard and learned in order to decode the necessary information to safely go about our daily lives, different though they may be. Anne has her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, and has worked in WIC, Public Health, and the H1N1 response. Anne is also working toward her Master's in Public Health.

This week we are joined by Beatriz Ruiz, one of our Jumpstart home visitors with a background in family case management. Beatriz shares with us her experience building self-care into her routine, its importance in the midst of a global crisis, and how to practice implementing new self-care routines when we are feeling unsure of how or what to do. Listen in as Beatriz touches on practical ways to address this universal need with those closest to us, as well as simple, effective strategies to check in with ourselves throughout the day.

Listen in to the newest episode, where I'm joined by Maranda, fellow parent educator, to discuss coparenting with a divorced parent during our current global crisis. For many families, coparenting is already a challenge, but adding a global pandemic has meant new stressors as well as trying to implement strategies to keep our children and ourselves safe and healthy. Maranda has a background in education and a Bachelor's in psychology from DePaul University. Maranda is currently working toward her Master's in Human Services Counseling. Maranda offers tips and strategies from her personal experience with the subject, looking through the lens of a former preschool teacher, current home visitor, and a divorced mom.

This week Joy interviews Timberlie, an ALMFT (Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) and trauma specialist with an MA in MFT, and a current PhD student at Northcentral University. Timberlie unpacks what trauma is, how it affects us, the amazing ways our brain responds, and what we can do about it.
