Your interest don't always have to be the same, but when you are around people who want to do more in life, it is contagious. Putting yourself in those situations can help you in everything not only your career life but personal life as well. 

Having a good positive mindset is always super important. It isn't always easy to maintain that positive outlook on everything, the negativity is the easy way out. But if you keep working at it, reminding yourself to keep pushing with that positive mindset, you can do a lot of good things!
