Romans 8: 18-25

18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. 19 For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. 20 Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, 21 the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. 22 For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. 24 We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. 25 But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)

Does salvation mean you are going to heaven.

Romans can be cryptic at times.

Suffering ➭ Patience ➭ Endurance ➭ Hope of Salvation

What is Grace? It's love. it's true forgiveness. 

Grace is the power not to be a slave to sin.

it's the power of the holy spirit dwelling within the believer. 

Saved from being a slave to sin through faith. Trust in God's reconciliation. 

Gives me the power to overcome sin.

Is Grace the power that resurrected Christ?

2 Corinthians 12: 9 - But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 

Does this mean that God benefitted when we are pitiful weaklings?

You can't do it and when you over perform it is God getting the glory.

 Jesus came to restore the relationship that was present in the Garden of Eden.

Romans explains how we restore a relationship with God.

Our flesh can only produce sinful things.

When Christ died you died with him.

If you are born again, you share the same spiritual DNA as Jesus.  Just like we share the biological DNA with Adam.

By grace we are saved from the power of sin.

Law of sin and death is gone, the new law is the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

Jesus did not come to take away Hell, he came to take away sin.

We should be living in constant fellowship with God. 

Salvation is not an it... salvation is a he.

You can now live as a new man that can live apart from sin through the holy spirit.

There will be no more death and decay

Dave sr. hopes to share his faith with his children, so that they will share their faith with their children.

Hell is eternal separation from God. God's judgment is what decides, not ours.

Even if there was no afterlife, wouldn't you still want a relationship with God? So why do we cheat ourselves out of the relationship with God now. We eat Ramen when the steak is offered.

We forgo the fruit of the spirit, which we so desire for the fruit of the flesh.

The spoken word of God is the Sword of the Armor of God.
