Romans 8 : 26-30

26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. 29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.

We live inside a simulation. 

We don't want to pull verses out of context.

We also don't want to attempt to make the bible say what we want it to say.

Our goal is to come the the bible open to how the spirit can mold our hearts and offer better understanding.

Old Testament - Idols are Bad.

Old and New Testament - The Holy Spirit is clutch.

The holy spirit is very important.

When we fail it seems like the holy spirit becomes distant.

It seems like we need to make our hearts right again in order to have fellowship with the spirit again.

The bible commands us to heal people, but we either lack the faith or pretend to heal people.

We never see believers walk into a hospital and begin healing people.

There are a lot of things a charismatic person can do with or without God.

The supernatural experiences related to the holy spirit

It is our desire to experience god in a greater way to glorify God. but I'm not willing to pretend.

There is no reason to believe that God is out of the business of healing and offering prophecy.

Even if we could heal people there would be a lot of cynicism today.

 If God is everywhere, all powerful, all knowing and all loving, tragic things still happen. 

It's not that all things work for our benefit, it's all things work to the benefit of God's purposes.

Even the horrible stuff will work to our benefit on an eternal.

To live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Some martyrs could have escaped being martyred, but chose to be martyred for a better resurrection.

Christ is the husband and the church is the bride.

We are adopted children of God. We are jesus's siblings, who get to share in God's inheritance.
