Love Bytes and Insights
Love Bytes and Insights
Robyn MacMillan
About Love, Bytes, and Insights Welcome to Love, Bytes, and Insights, the podcast that's like your favourite cocktail: a blend of love, tech, and the occasional case of "Oops, did I really just say that?" Hosted by two married co-founders who juggle a digital agency (The EXP Blueprint), a marriage, and a podcast (because who needs sleep, right?), we promise to deliver a weekly dose of laughter, wisdom, and the kind of banter only two people who’ve shared everything from a toothbrush to a business can provide. Who's This For? Calling all marketing mavens, tech enthusiasts, daring entrepreneurs, and co-founders trying to navigate the chaotic sea of business, love and technology! If you’re someone who thrives on data, adores tech, and enjoys a good laugh (sometimes at our expense), this podcast is for you. We cater to those who are constantly seeking inspiration, whether it’s in their next big marketing campaign or their next big date night idea. Why We Created It Why did we start this podcast? To put it simply, because therapy was getting too expensive. Kidding! Sort of. We created Love, Bytes, and Insights because we realized there’s a whole tribe of people out there like us - balancing business, love, and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge (and coffee, White Monster, or Peppermint Tea). We wanted to create a space where we could share our experiences, laugh at our mistakes, and maybe even provide a little wisdom along the way.

#10 Snacks Are My Love Language
We all want to be seen and heard, and as a business owner this is something you need to recognise. The way to my heart is through the candy you offer me. This episode is all about how you should be taking the time to recognise those around you and how best to motivate them and support them. I am a firm believer, that as a business owner that employs individuals and works with outsource partners, that we should all take the time to get to understand each other to have a seamless and positive relationship. As humans one of our biggest desires is to be seen and heard, and this is also really important within the workplace.

#9 I Don't Play With Bullies
Give me your lunch money, can you just do this extra thing?, this is important though.... One of the best things I have ever decided for myself is that I don’t play with bullies. Now you may think that this is very simple, and something that we all do anyway... but actually there are many bullies within our networks that dont fit the standard stereotype, and we let them stay within our circles for far too long.

#7 New Year, New Who?
New Year, New Who? Are New Year's resolutions the most positive way to bring in the new year.... I don’t think so... Instead of resolutions we should be focusing on setting goals, tangible goals, that you can break down and move your vision or business forward with! Resolutions are airy fairy promises that we never keep...

#6 Knives To Invoices
This episode is one I'm sure every business owner can relate to, the moment you took the plunge, pulled the trigger and said “It's now or never” So how do you go from your regular 9-5 to your new 24/7? Do you take your trade with you? Or just the tools you developed while working in that role?

#5 F**k It Bucket
You will never be perfect, nothing will ever feel finished, and there is always something else to do. So just do it. Easier said than done, I know, don't come for me..... But we are discrimination machines, and what I mean by that is that we are destined and programmed to always find the tiniest flaw within an idea or plan, and then this coupled by the fact we are all cucumbers with anxiety it can stop us in our tracks when trying to move forward. In this episode I talk about some of the ways I try to move forward with imperfect action, and why this is important!

#4 Quick...Run...
Quick.... Run.... It’s time to shift down a gear and change direction, it’s time to be more agile, it’s time to push forward instead of retreating..... it’s time to rally dig deep and power through. The constant movement and changes within a business, or product development or idea creation can give you motion sickness. It takes a lot of caffeine, stamina and whatever you personal vice is (I dont Judge) to maneuver all of the side blows and adaptations we must go through. The last couple of years have been even more exhausting, with us having to make bigger changes, be more agile and pivot harder than we have ever had to before. In this podcast I talk about some of the ways we supported businesses to continue to thrive during lockdown.
