Realistic and funny
I'm skeptical of health podcasts that can set unrealistic goals, but Harriet is realistic, practical, and funny. Not to mention her soothing voice! She makes me feel like I have actionable goals.

Informative and Entertaining.
As a native of Los Angeles, I feel I'm constantly navigating a sea of annoying, bad, or all out dangerous health advice. Naturally, when I first heard Harriet present a "Stupid Idea of the Week," I trusted her immediatey. Her style is never superior or preachy or humorless -- she's someone I feel I could actually reach out to for guidance in my real life. Also, her episode on How to Survive Christmas is a must.

Life-changing
Besides the fact that this podcast is funny and entertaining, it is just what I need to help me “reclaim my life from food.” Harriet focuses on the core reasons for our problems with food while giving us strategies to manage our compulsions right from the get-go. Everyone with an unhealthy relationship with food should skip all the fad dieting and come straight here.

Great Storytelling and Coaching
I love how Harriet tells stories to help her audience through eating addictions. I especially enjoyed the "Masquerade" episode. I had never heard the story of this book before, and I found it deeply fascinating. Harriet made really interesting connections between the lessons of the book and lessons that apply to eating addictions.

Calorie Runner
Harriet suggested I listen to episode where she used Blade Runner as a example the dangers of Calorie counting. I was able to pick up some great nutritional tips but most of all, the thing I walked away with was the love Harriet has for sharing these tips. The preparation and execution can be seen in the way Harriet shares the information to her audience, breaking it down for everyone to understand and practically use!

Great tools and info :)
I thought the stupid ideas of the week were funny, the crazy fad diets are ridiculous and breathatarianism is at the tip of the spear. I liked the rejection challenge discussed in the episode and how we can use failures to gain valuable information. Overall a very informative podcast with tools than can truly be transformative

Such a helpful Podcast
This is a very well produced show talking about health and specifically focusing on binge eating and the effects of sugar on the body. The host takes a very no nonsense type of approach with short 25 minuet or so episodes that while maybe a bit light on commentary, are packed with useful information. This podcast can be very inspirational in helping people kick their sugar habit and live a healthier life. I envy those people.

Soothing yet enlighting
Your voice is so soothing I could listen to you talk about anything! But honestly, this was great. I’m a huge fitness guys but often don’t know too much about eating. I eat healthy, but I never thought to slow down my eating at all. Thanks for the advice! Great podcast!

So well researched
Such a well structured podcast! I listened to the sugar tax episode and was shocked and intrigued about the many facets about it. It's well researched, talks about different perpectives and I definitely learned a lot.

Unabashed Perspectives
It seems there’s a very valuable dialogue happening here on the intersection of food, culture and psychology. There’s also very strong opinions, personal anecdotes, and lots of pop cultural reference points. Great vulnerability shown by the host which makes this a fun ride.

Much Needed Info on Eating & Health
A great and much-needed podcast to help improve our eating and health habits. There is so much misinformation out there but Harriet is here to help us clear the air and decide how to actually live a healthy lifestyle. Bravo! -Andy Storch

Food for your brain...that benefits your body!
First, simply listening to Harriet's voice is treat enough! But listening to what she has to say, helping to navigate the world of food and not just learn what is helpful, but the WHY behind it is so powerful. In a world of hidden ingredients and ever changing "eat this, but not that....just kidding, it's the other way around" - it's so, so empowering to not simply be told what foods are good/bad, but to learn about the chemistry behind it and the way it affects your brain and body. I'm looking forward to diving in even more to what she says, and once again gaining insights into the beautiful mind/body/soul connection we have, down to the morsels we put into our mouths. We all have the power to make our own choices on what we eat - don't be illiterate about it - educate yourself!

A Hero's Journey
I be honest. Eversince I had my own kid that's 3 months now, I've been eating a lot more and it's very hard to get into the mindset of eating right again. Listening to the podcast is motivating me to try out different diets and only to use what works. This is my new hero's journey. Keep up the great work Harriet!

Extremely informative and entertaining!
Harriet's podcasts are chock full of great information from her studies and experience. I also really enjoy her sense of humor with the "stupid idea of the week." I would love to hear some step by step strategies mentioned on specific ways to deal with eating issues. I know that she has the answers we've all been waiting for. Thank you for a great podcast!

Finally! An Explaination!
I was thrilled to hear Harriet give the explantion of what sugar does to the brain (Episode EC004)! It was great to hear that it's not a willpower issue, but rather a predictable chain of chemical events. I'm already looking forward to the next episode. I'm so glad I'm getting in on this at the beginning!
