hi friends.
***TW***
In this episode, we discuss topics of alcoholism, addiction, and a bit of self harm. Please be conscious of your mental health and don't listen if you think you will be triggered by those topics. I want you to be safe and healthy and happy so if you need to skip out on this one and join me for the next I completely understand! :) <3
Boy oh boy did I feel nervous going into this interview with Daniel. The greatest reward I've found through hosting is that I get to have discussions with great people about things I may not know much about, so I hope you also gain some knowledge from listening!
I love you lots!
- Nicole

Happy Holidays, everyone!
I hope you are all doing well in this time. I know the Holidays can often trigger a lot of uncomfortable feelings and memories for some people. I'm here to remind you that whatever you are feeling is valid. For me, Holidays bring up a lot of uncertainty and second- guessing; which my Therapist, and Section 3 of Stoic Philosophy, will tell you is more common than not.
The emotions we feel are so human and valid because we are meant to express ourselves and have a primal need to do so. But remember; don’t make any rash decisions. Take it day by day. Talk to your friends, a mentor; someone you can speak to freely without judgement. It's easy to take things for granted and get used to the way something is, but we are meant to adapt, and grow. Nothing is permanent. Be aware of the amazing things you have in front of you in the moment. You may never get the chance to have them again.
I've been working through that myself :)
I love you all.

Today's episode discusses topics of mental health that may be triggering for some people.
As a mental health advocate, and someone who experiences anxiety and depressed mood, I wanted to have this important discussion with someone equally as versed and dedicated to ending the stigma as I am. I want you to know that you're not alone; there is always someone willing to help. A peer, a family member, a trusted educator, a coworker- hell, even the host of a podcast who just wants you to exist joyfully. You're not alone. I love you.
