I had the amazing opportunity to interview Karuna Rawal, the lead strategist of the #LikeAGirl Campaign that won an Emmy Award and 14 Lions at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015. She is currently the CMO and CRO of Nature’s Fynd. Nature’s Fynd is a Chicago-based food tech company that is creating Fy - an alternative protein to feed the world’s growing population while nurturing the planet. The company was born out of research conducted for NASA on microbes in Yellowstone National Park. The company’s fermentation technology produces a complete vegan protein using only a fraction of the resources required by traditional agriculture. The company has raised $500M to date and was Chicago's 10th unicorn for 2021.

I had the amazing opportunity to interview Geoffrey See, the CEO of Poko a Y-Combinator backed company. Geoffrey started his career with Bain, and then very quickly founded Choson Exchange, a not-for-profit where he trained thousands of female entrepreneurs in North Korea on how to run businesses. His work also led him to become a protagonist for a Harvard Business School Case Study.
While he was in North Korea, he also understood the importance of financial inclusion and got introduced to the world of crypto. In 2018, he drove the launch and go-to-market strategy for a blockchain that led to the formation of a regulated private exchange HG Exchange that partially exited to Binance. Now with Poko, he aims to improve the payments infrastructure within web3 particularly when it comes to gaming.

I had the amazing opportunity to interview Alexandra Khasirdzheva, the Investment Manager at Cointelegraph Accelerator, who was also previously also the Vice President of Strategy at Cointelegraph Consulting. Alexandra started her career in media with interviewing thought leaders and founders in the Middle East in 2015 when the startup ecosystem was in its nascent stage. She then launched an accelerator to connect startups to corporations.

I had the amazing opportunity to speak to Molly Bloom, who went from being an an Olympic-class skier to the operator of the largest underground poker game to the subject of an Oscar-nominated movie. Molly started her career as an athlete and then went on to become an operator of a high-stakes poker game frequented by some of the most powerful celebrities, athletes, Wall Street titans and CEOs, in the world. While running the games, she ran into trouble with the Russian mafia, lost all her money and almost went to prison. Despite that, she always kept her spirits up while maintaining an entrepreneurial mindset. At 35, she was a convicted felon and broke but she believed her story was her monetizable asset. She pitched her story to Aaron Sorkin who agreed to write it, and the movie received an Oscar nomination. She is now a highly sought-after speaker and is working on her own startup.

We also go over the journey we have had together where she has helped me work on my fears and improve my relationships with the people in my life, including and especially with my own self.
