– Jesus charged the leper who was healed to tell no man, but to go to his priest and be cleansed. Nevertheless, the fame of Jesus grew and great multitudes came to hear him.

– A man taken with palsy is let down through the roof of a home and is healed. Jesus refers to himself as “The Son of Man” (Luke 5.24).

– Jesus is more than a great moral teacher or a good man. He is who he claimed to be, The Son of God.

– Levi (Matthew), a tax collector, is called to follow Jesus. Matthew feeds Jesus in his home and some of the Pharisees are angry because they expect Jesus to follow their strict fasting rules. Jesus teaches that “new wine must be put in new bottles” (Luke 5.37-39).
