He also won 14 total United States national championships, indoor and outdoor combined.Prior to becoming head coach of the Ashland Eagles, Kruger served as the throws coach for NCAA Division I South Dakota's track and field program from 2015-22, a stint which included 2018 (outdoors) and 2022 (indoors and outdoors) Summit League women's team championships.More importantly, it was Kruger's relationship with the late Jud Logan that brought him back to Ashland in 2021. On Episode 118 of Talkin' G-MAC, Bill Ek joins Katie in honor of D2CCA Winter Officials' Appreciation Week. Bill serves as the Supervisor of Officials for men's basketball at the Great Midwest. Bill has been in the assigning space for 16 years including serving in his post at the G-MAC since the league's inception. In addition, Ek has been on the floor as an official for roughly 30 years. Now, officiating men's basketball games at the Division I level, mainly for the Big Ten Conference. Bill has also been selected to officiate in a number of NCAA men's basketball tournament games.In this week's episode, Katie and Bill talk about his journey through officiating, the passion for giving back and mentoring the next generation of officials, as well as how we can combat the issues pertaining to the officials shortage that has become a major issue at all levels of the sport.

After a quick winter break, Katie is back with the first episode of 2024 to talk men's basketball with Trevecca Nazarene head coach Kevin Carroll.
Carroll left another Nashville-based program in Lipscomb earlier this summer to accept the job on The Hill back in August. Since then, the Trojans have gotten off to a 5-0 start in G-MAC play. Trevecca will host Hillsdale and Northwood in a Thursday-Saturday home stand this weekend to try and keep the streak alive.
