In this episode, I sat down and spoke to, Jessica Lee, about her travel coaching business, The Wander Word.
Jess talked to me about after a decade of wandering; she noticed a massive problem for travellers – over-tourism. With her cultural immersion coaching service, she spoke to me about how she hopes to get people to learn how to connect with their destination and transform from being a tourist to a traveller through one-on-one coaching, language courses, and travel planning services.
Jess spoke to me about her target audience and the cost of her services. We also talked about how she differs from a travel agent.
We also discussed why she felt it was vital for her to be open about her domestic abuse in the past. She talked to me about the significance it has had on the person she has become now.

This episode is in association with Travel Unity, as they provided me with three influential individuals to discuss the importance of Hispanics within the travel industry. They were Karen Kuhl, Danny Guerrero, and Jeannette Ceja.
National Hispanic Heritage Month is annually celebrated from September 15 to October 15 in the United States for recognising the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.
With my three guests, I explored where Hispanics are today and whether more voices are needed within the travel sector now to help the next generation come through the industry.

In this episode, I talked to Africa Collection Manager at Index Select and Travel Consultant, Wazha Dube.
During this discussion, Wazha and I talked about his early upbringing, which involved moving across to the U.K. from Botswana and living in multiple other countries before settling in New York.
We spoke in detail about what it was like to break into the travel sector and any challenges he faced doing so. In particular, what it was like for someone of colour.
Following that topic, we looked at why the industry hasn't been as diverse and where we are in terms of diversity and inclusion since organisations pledged to do so after the Black Lives Matter movement started.
I spoke to him about his work and what that entails, and where he sees himself in the future.
I also discussed why the continent of Africa is so unique and why people should consider travelling there for their holidays.
It was a fascinating talk, and I look forward to seeing where Wazha ends up next.
