Is it possible to love your menstrual cycle? According to Hormone Yoga Therapy Teacher & Practitioner Corrine Mcnally, it is!
In this episode, we chatted with Corrine on HYT, a yoga method originating from Brazil that consists of a sequence of 21 postures and focuses on the sex glands. Practicing it a few times a week can help with hormonal imbalances, including improvements to PMS and perimenopausal symptoms such as cramps, back pain, irritability, weight gain, digestive issues, acne, and insomnia. It also helps with fertility challenges and relieve stress and anxiety.
Corrine discovered HYT when she was going through perimenopause (when your body starts transitioning to menopause) and was noticing migraines, brain fog, joint paints. When her doctor recommended birth control pills and Hormone Replacement Therapy, she took it upon herself to find a solution that didn't feel like a bandaid to her symptoms. She travelled to Chile and learned the method from Brazilian psychologist and Yoga therapist Dinah Rodrigues and is sharing this method with women (and men) all over the world.
