I’ve been listening to Brandee’s podcast for a few years now, and she gives away so much valuable content and practical advice. I’ve been soaking it all in! I was kind of thrown into managing my family’s wedding business on our family farm and had no clue how to run a tour or how to get couples to say yes. So many of the things I’ve learned from her have made a huge difference — like getting pricing out front (that alone saved me so much time and stress!) and making sure I know exactly what couples are looking for before they even come for a tour. And yes, asking for the sale!!! This year, I’ve really surprised myself! We already have 11 weddings booked for next year, which is a big increase. Thanks to Brandee, I’ve truly learned to love the wedding business and the amazing couples I get to work with. It’s such a joy to see their smiles when they have the best day ever at our venue! When I’m driving, walking, cooking, etc. it’s impossible to take notes so I look for the show notes to sum everything up for me especially on the episodes Brandee provides steps, workflows, or tips. I’ve been listening to Brandee on the She Who Dares Podcast (and frequently chatting with her on Instagram) since December 2020. I found out about her through our mutual pal Taylor Petro from the Level up your wedding film podcast. Being a new business owner I’ve been eager to soak up all the free knowledge that Podcasts have to offer. Brandee is no exception! Seriously, even though I’m not a planner by trade each of her episodes can still apply to my profession (wedding filmmaker) in some way. She’s the kindest person and just so willing to help. Being in the wedding industry, I typically avoid wedding focused sources to gain knowledge and motivate myself. I am very information driven, and usually it’s just a lot of fluff. Not with this podcast! Brandee Gaar gives an honest, relatable, and relevant podcast for anyone. This very professional and very positive podcast is a breath of fresh air. I devour podcasts. I’m very curious and have a hard time focusing on one topic for very long. And let’s be honest, so many of these types of podcasts are just fluff and grandstanding. Rarely do they delve deeper or give a transparent account of how to run a business. Brandee is the real deal, and I’m so impressed with the quality of her podcast. From right out the gate, it’s clean, well thought out, and enjoyable.

Brandee is such a wealth of knowledge, and the diversity that her podcast covers is so intriguing to me, not mention how so incredible informed and up beat you feel at the end. Thank you Brandee and please keep bringing the heat.

Episode 20 "Being the Newbie" on Brandee’s podcast was a game changer for me! I honestly felt like she was speaking to me and the start of my new business! I launched 3 weeks ago (woo hoo!) and it's been a whirlwind so far, an exciting road with (already) a TON of ups and downs! My business is a side hustle for me (until I can quit my full time job!) wedding planning service because of the pure passion and love I have for event planning! I've never felt more happy, uplifted and spirited than I do when I plan an event - it quite literally energizes me and lights me up! I think the hardest part for me which Brandee touched a lot on, is the fear of moving forward and the fear of "haters" - Just getting started' was SO hard, and I'm sure you can imagine the fear of hearing any negative feedback within 3 weeks of launch - it's truly discouraging! As motivated as I am, I get super discouraged sometimes by mistakes I make, thinking "there's no coming back from here" mentality that I know I have to shake off and move forward confidently taking these lessons as great learning lessons to help refine how I move forward... which Brandee has helped me understand much more by just listening to her podcast. This episode (20) was a GAME CHANGER for me and it made me feel not so alone out there! And that there are other very successful and wonderful people like Brandee and countless others who have made mistakes, learned from them and moved forward to create something incredible! I feel more motivated than ever, and I can't wait to hear more episodes.

Love these simple nuggets of advice that are so valuable! Thanks for keeping it short sweet and to the point while also encouraging women to get out there and go for it!
